  1. That is pretty funny. Now, do the effects reverse when you stop taking it? Like, let's say you get the breast swelling and stop taking proscar, will there be a reversal?
  2. I've started taking Propecia and I have a few concerns about how it interacts with my hormones. I know about the reduced libido and unlikely side effect of breast enlargment, but how does it affect muscle development? I lift weights regularly with the intention of building and maintaining bulk. Is this going to change that by making it harder to build or keep muscle mass? Thanks in advance for any help.
  3. I understand that there are a few people here who have been on both. My question is, I know that if you stop taking Rogaine you will eventually lose all the hair that you regrew. But what if you remain on the propecia? Will you develop a resistance to losing this hair? In other words, can you take Rogaine long enough to get the regrowth and then quit? I know this seems like wishful thinking, just thought i would check if anyone knows the answer.

  6. Thanks for the advice everyone. H&W gave me back my consult and suggested 4000 grafts. That's $15,000. I can't afford that. I'm going to go on propecia like a lot of people have suggested. I can live with my current hair, and some regrowth would be a bonus. Thanks for everyone's advice, it's been very helpful.
  7. Looks like i can only post one at a time. Here's one from the top, the thinning is much more apparent.
  8. Because hairloss isn't in my family at all I thought I could get away with not doing something like this until my 30's. However, in the last little while it's become incredibly apparent just how thin I'm getting so I'm looking into doing it perhaps this summer. Mainly I'm tired of cutting my hair short to hide the fact that it's happening, and I'm not too keen on being one of those people who shaves their head. I figure most people my age spend double and triple what a transplant costs on a car, for no other reason than personal vanity, so what's the big deal in getting a hair transplant. Comments or advice? update: thanks troy, here's a few pics for perspective
  9. Thanks for the suggestion Domie, I just did an online consult with them now. My hair has always been really thick, so that's apparently one thing I have going for me according to the website. Is it unusual for people in their mid-20's to get this surgery done? I'm hoping that if I do it now, I can hold off on a follow up surgery until I'm at least in my thirties.
  10. Thanks for the info. $10000 wasn't what i was hoping to hear though! Oh well, that's the price of vanity I suppose.
  11. I'm 26 and have been thinning for a while and figured maybe I would get a transplant in my thirties. Well, I got a short cut recently and was a little shocked at the extent of the thinning. I'm wondering if people can give me their opinion on how many grafts I would need and how much I can expect to pay for such a surgery in Canada.
