  1. Hello MTLien44 I just went through the same thing with my doctor so I feel your pain. He listened to my concerns and told me not to worry that it can be fixed. To be honest it is hard to not worry when something that has been bothering you or even consuming your thoughts has not been fixed after spending the money. Now it may be worse because it may be noticeable you had something done My poor result has affected my life personally and professionally. I have explained that to him. He offered to "fix" it and I told him I was very apprehensive about it. Then He offered to help me on the repair If I wanted to go somewhere else. I told him that made me feel a little better. Now this help has not come yet as I have a procedure with Dr. Rahal in July. I hope he follows through. He did seem very concerned about me. I mentioned I would like him to talk with Dr Rahal and maybe they could come up with an agreement. I would just explain how your poor result has impacted you and then bring it up to him or see if he has any other suggestions. If he is ethical and concerned about you as a patient I think he should help you out. Just my opinion.
  2. I chose Rahal over Feller coming up in July based on I got a better response. Dr. Rahal's office seems to be very organized and they had a great handle on all of the pictures I had sent them. If you send pics to Feller's office I would follow it up with an immediate phone call to make sure they got through. I sent pics twice and both times they were either lost or I never got a response after I had talked with Marcia from his office. The results from both are amazing though.
  3. Regarding Dr Feller not responding, All I know is that I had sent several pictures in and even got in contact with Marcia to confirm that the pictures had made it through. She told they had and that Dr. Feller would be letting me know his reccomendations soon. Bottom line is I never heard a thing
  4. hello P-Lion How was your experience with Dr Rahal? I am scheduled for a procedure in July. I just wanted some input from some of his patients. Any info would be great. Thanks
  5. Good Morning CR, Dr. Rahal estimated I would need about 2500 to 3000 in my crown area. He said he may refine my hairline as well. I would like to think that 3000 for you would make a BIG difference. I have also been following King Crowns blog and I would like to see some updates. His pics after surgery seem to show excellent coverage. I have been on propecia for just over a year now. Have you noticed any difference in appearance of yor hair since splitting your pills? Richie, Your post op pics look very clean! Your results IMO look great for about 5 months. Feller is awsome. I hope I get some great results from Rahal. the area you had transplanted looks nice even when the rest or your head was shaved down.
  6. crown royal, Welcome! I have a similar pattern of hairloss as you. I am scheduled to to to Rahal on July 29th. Maybe we can monitor our progress together. I have already had one small procedure over a year ago but not nearly enough to matter. This was the result of not doing as much research. I feel better this time around. Good Luck to you!
  7. Spex, Thanks for the reply and your weblog gives me some hope! Your results are nothing short of amazing from what I see. I am positive Dr. Feller is an extremely busy guy! Nothing against him. It just tells me thathe must be great since he is so busy. I am from Western New York and I will be taking a drive up to Rahal in 3 months. I am going to have a discussion with my last dr. regarding the poor results on Tues. Any advice? Any of Rahals patients want to chime in?
  8. Hello to all. I have been lurking and have not posted in a while but it is good to be back. I had a small procedure (about 700) about a year ago with micro and minis with less than desireable results. I did not recieve nearly enough graphs and they are noticeable. I was heart broken and now depressed when the stylist called me on it. I am glad she was honest. Now I am hopefully getting the real deal with the ultra refined results that many of you have. I have spoken and consoled with several doctors on here. Many do not think it will be a problem to fix. I spoke with Epstein, H&W, Shapiro, True, Rahal, I emailed Feller but never heard back from him. (busy guy?)lol I have decided on Rahal because of the great customer service and advice from Adrian. Any thoughts? Please honestly.... My loss is mostly in the crown and I had several minis placed there and some in the hairline. they look unnatural and I am so disgusted and angry with myself right now for not being as educated as I am now. He estimated around 2500-2800. I am honestly hoping for a few more and to fix what the other unethical doctor did. We shall see. My procedure Is July 31st. I makes me feel a little better that he is consistantly listed in the top 5 in one of these threads but I am still nervous for sure! Thanks for the comments

  10. gothair, I experienced the exact same thing as you when I started taking propecia. shedding and thinning on the leftside. Yes it looked retarded. However, GOOD NEWS is that that hair came back and the density did eventually return. it did take quite some time though
  11. I hope there is not any "Fromunda" located where the smegma is as well. That is scary. Hi everyone! just checking in. Still waiting on my results. At just under 6 1/2 months. Hope you are all well!
  12. Bill, I just need a little direction on creating a weblog. I have a ton of pics. right after up to now. Nothing really before but they should give you a good idea where I am at. I would value your opinion. Send me the info? Thanks!
  13. I would do the propecia before. Absolutely, from my personal experience. I started it about a week after surgery and at about 3 1/2 months i experienced lots of shedding and thinning. Yes even in nontransplant areas. Plus a horrible haircut did not help me. Bill and others mentioned it could be a shed or delayed shockloss or more native hairloss. I have no idea. Everyone is different. I am still waiting/hoping for my hair to recover. I am at 5 1/2 months right now. I lost more additional hair for a good 6 weeks. I do not seem to be losing large amounts of hair but I am in the "I look like Crap" Stage right now. You may not shed at all some on here dont seem to. One thing is for sure this place is a great crutch if you are riding emotion mountain.
  14. Hello Arrie! Thanks for the info. The transplanted hairs have started to grow. I hope there will be a lot of activity between the 6-8 month mark. I had mostly crown work done and some hairline work done. I lost more hair just in front of where work was done in the crown. About 1/2 in gap between that and midsalp. Its not bald just thinner so hopefully it will come back. If not I am already looking into a Coalition doc on here in the N.Y area. This waiting period does stink. How is your experience going? where did you have work done? What have you been doing for the redness?
  15. I am cosidering adding the rogaine foam to my routine. I have already had HT#1 and I am 5 1/2 months out. I started on propecia 1 week after surgery. I beleive I experienced shock loss and shedding. Will the foam make me go through another shed even though I am on propecia for 5 1/2 months? Or should I wait to see what happens for a while regarding if and when the shocked and shed hair comes back?

  17. I have had no side effects. I have had an increased libido and I have been on it for 5 1/2 months. I have been experiencing shedding or thinning but many on here say that it is the medication working and it should thicken back up eventually.
  18. is there nobady willing to give any input or advice for me on this?
  19. I went on Hasson and Wongs website and took a look at there videos of closure techniques. I was impressed to say the least. I really could not see a scar. Who else does this type of closure method? Bill were they able to do this type of closure for you?

  21. Hello, I have posted a few times mostly on shockloss and shedding as I have started propecia just one week after my first transplant. I mentioned that around month 3.5 that my hair went noticably thinner even in nontransplant areas. I am at just over 5 months now. My qusestion is that as I put mt fingers in my hair and gently push back against the direction in which the hair grows I am feeling many short prickly stubble. At just over 5 months could this be my hair starting to recover from shedding and shockloss? Or am I being presumptuous? Any advise would be helpful. Thank You very much!

  23. Huh Huh Huh. "Beavis I have seen the top of the mountain and it is good" lol thanks for the laugh
  24. Thanks for the support. I have been going through it alone until I found this site. I will take and use your advise trigerhappy and Arrie. This was my first HT and I have been getting educated since joining here. I can totally understand why someone may get better results shving the recipient area. I work in an office and am not sure if I could do that even though I may want to. I dont much about the conceilers either.
  25. I think (hope)I am going through that right now. I started Propecia about a week after surgery. Everything was going good until about the 3 month mark. My hair got thinner even in the nontransplant areas. Looks really bad wet. I am just over 5 months now. I see some growth in the hairline and some in the crown (yeah!)but I still look like crap right now. I even have several pimples in the nontranspalnt area. Could that be regrowth? It seems there is no way I can tell if new hair is growing in or if it is hair that will be shed? I thought I read on here that it may take 6 months or more for the hair to recover from med kicking in and shockloss? Would it be shockloss or shedding in the area right on the border between native hair and transplants? I am so glad this forum is here because of the ups and downs I have been going through. Any more thoughts Bill or Mrjb?
