  1. danny, Thanks bro! I am loving the little widows peak! A little artistic signature from Rahal! Thana, I plan on enjoying the ride! Cant beleive hair is going to grow back! I can hardly wait! I will continue to post results! Cheers and enjoy the hair!
  2. Wantego, I love it! I have not had hair in some of these spots in 10 years so needless to say I am very happy! Im looking forward to getting my hair trimmed on the same day at the stitches are removed. Dr. Rahal said that he will do it for me when I visit the clinic! I know these little fella's are going to fall out sometime soon, but I cant wait for them to grow back! Thanks for asking! I hope you are well! Cheers
  3. Hey guys I have posted recent pictures of the healing process if your interested in checking it out! Cheers
  4. I would agree, travel and enjoy life before the HT. I had lots of swelling from post op day 1-5. The only place I wanted to be was in my house away from pretty much everyones. Its very hard to predict how you will heal so be cautious when making post op plans. Cheers
  5. SDM Rahal focused on re building a natural looking hair line, and filling in the recession areas at the sides. I beleive the frontal area has 550 grafts a side. He did but hair back in the areas where my current hair is or will become weak! The hair line and filling in the blanks was my main goal! I do understand that if the balding does continue I will need further procedures. RFC Thanks! I look forward to being able to have a normal shower and putting a hat on my ugly head while waiting for growth! I will keep you posted for sure! I look forward to following your progress! Cheers
  6. Hey guys I have posted my day 4 pics! A few questions: 1. Should I still be sleeping at a 45 degree angle as the swelling has now gone down, but I dont want to mess with the grafts? 2. When is a good time to shave the rest of my hair? (I wish I did it before) 3. Honestly when do you think is a safe time to wear a loose hat on my head? Please Advise.
  7. Thana Looks good buddy! I am hoping for results like yours! Congrats!
  8. Hey growmehair I had mine done with Rahal on the 12th. Do you have and pictures? I am sure things will get better! Cheers
  9. Thanks Wantego! I will keep you posted! Rahal mentioned you during the procedure! You are becoming a legend! Talk to you soon. Cheers
  10. Mr. GQ Thanks for your message. Last nights win helped pass the time and Im wishing for the same tonight. However the playoff picture looks bleak! Lots of time to heal then grow! Cheers
  11. Thanks Eman Ya your right, im pretty much i hiding for the next few weeks! I have been watching lots of hockey and today plan on getting into some movies I have not seen yet! It is some what nice to relax and have a little down time as long as I can continue to think of things to do! I have been drinking gatorade like its going out of style! Im hoping for the swelling to go down in the next few days! I will keep you posted. Cheers and thanks again!
  12. The Bench I went in to my HT wanting a higher hair line to look dense, yet age appropriate. I am also 28. This gve me the ability to have furtherwork done in the future when I bald even further. Dr. Rahal also suggested this as the best approach. I think at times the doctors have no choice but to do what the clients asks them to do even if they disagree. When it cam to this, I really appreciated Dr. Rahal's honesty. Cheers
  13. Hey everyone I am 1 day post-op. We tried for 3500 and ended up with 3054. Dr. Rahal stated that my donor hair is very thick and there were mostly 2's and 3's. Dr. Rahal offered to take another donor strip afer the final count, however I opted not to do it as the originally we were going for 2800 and then I wanted a more drastic result so we targeted 3500. I am fine with 3054. It was a very interesting experience. I got to Dr. Rahals office for 630AM and my wife picked me up at 330pm. The whole experience was virtually pain free, if I ever felt anything I asked for a top up of the pain meds and Dr. Rahal had no problems with that. I also have a very low pain tolerance. When I got home in the evening the pain meds didnt seem to do anything for about 4 hours which was pretty bad, however the rest of the night was fine. I slept on the couch with pillows and the travel neck pillow. I did need to take 1 T3 every 4 hours. Today I pretty much spent the day in bed and on the couch at the 45 degree angel. Then went in for my post op meeting with Rahal. Today I had lots of swelling at the sides of my head (lots), however he said this is normal. The fact I have been at the 45 degree angel most og the time as helped it not build up in my eyes rather the sides of my head by my ears. This evening I washed both areas for the first time. Very gently. The pain has gone down a lot and I am taking the pain meds just to help my sleep and relax. I have taken day 1 pics and will update my blog. I should not fail to mention that Dr. Rahal and his staff are fantastic! Adrian is a wealthy of knowledge and Dr. Rahal is nothing but the best! He takes it very serious, and is very soft spoken and caring in his approach. All the ladies in the room were great! The lunch was fresh and the movies passed the time! Overall it was a good experience. Now for the swelling to go down and the healing! Cheers
  14. Tony Rahal told me he will be shaving the front 1/3. Im cool with it and have come to terms with the fact im going to look like a freak for a while after. I wont be shaving my head until the stiches are removed at the two week mark. Abedogg Im glad to hear that the donar area should be realatively healed by the 2 week mark. I dont want to shave the whole head prior to the HT as I want to hide the scar for a few weeks. Good luck with the meeting, I think it will be clear that you had HT but really you have no choice, you have to go to the meeting. So I guess thats life! Let me know how it goes. Good luck Spacebetween I am in real estate and the awards dinner is a big deal. However I dont think I will go to it as I dont want to wear a hat while wearing a suit (it would look silly)and the scar will be a dead give away! I plan on not leaving the house for 2 weeks after the HT. I have prepared the house with everything I need and of course my wife is going to have to pretty much take care of the kids (2) for at lest the first week. After the two week marker I plan on shaving my head and then wearing hats all the time until my hair grows back. To make up for the Hat wearing. I plan on dressing business casual, i.e. designer jeans, nice shirt, maybe a tie and dress hats. I picked up a London Fog and Calvin Klein hats so they look some what dressy. I live in Ottawa which is damn cold pretty much until march - april so I should be able to get away with covering my head with hats and beanies etc. (kinds works with winter jackets) That should get me to the 4 month mark. Hopefully by then I can take of the hat in public! I have also been wearing a hat for the past few weeks and only one person said something about it. I guess you just have to do what you have to do to be comfortable. Whats your plan? Thanks guys the feedback is helping me make decisions. 2 more sleeps till the big day! Yikes!
  15. Thank you for sharing your story. It sure puts things into perspective. Im not sure what the future has in store for me, but I can tell you one thing, Monday cant come soon enough. Thanks again
  16. Thanks for your honesty Old Baldy Im not telling many people and am not sure I wan t walk across a stage to get an award in front of 600 people with my head looking like its going to. (need to shave the front 1-3) Thanks
  17. Hey guys, I have my HT on the 12th and a sales awards dinner - presentation on the 31st. I have been planning on not going using the out of town excuse. Would you agree? Its a huge deal in my business to get awards but I think im going to bail on the event. Thoughts?
  18. its 752 and flyby Thanks for your comments. I now feel very comfortable in keeping my HT between myself and the few people who know. The only thing is Rahal will be shavin the front 1/3 so I will be wearing a hat for the next few (3-5) months, which I was going to do anyways! Thanks again! Cheers
  19. bullitnut Good luck with everything. Im having mine on the 12th as well.(Rahal) See you on the flip side! Cheers
  20. That is a great question. I wonder the same ,as I have light hair and the top of my hair has natural blonde highlites and the back and sides are darker! Does anyone know the answer to this questions?

  22. I would agree it is brave and strong to be honest and tell people. I just cant bring myself to do it! Im happy keeping it a secret. 3 days till the big day!
  23. Wantego, Thank you very much for your honest answers. At this stage in the game I wish I could have the surgery tomorrow lol! Tonight I will be getting the house ready for me to go into hiding for 2 weeks (thsts the plan). I will keep you posted and look forward to monitoring your "so far" fantastic results! Thanks again!
  24. SDM Thanks again for your advice. It has helped me make some very important choices in regards to who to tell about my upcoming HT. I look forward to seeing your pictures. I will be updating my blog every step of the way. Lets hope we can add to the many other happy Dr. Rahal patients! Cheers
  25. Wantego, If I can get the results you have I will be a very happy man! I have a few questions: How was your pain from day 1-5? Did you feel any of the donor strip removal? Any tips for during and after the procedure? Do you experience swelling? If so for how long? Did you tell many people about your HT? Overall how happy are you from 1-10 (10 being very happy) Thanks for your help! Im really looking forward to Monday morning!
