  1. I just put another 8 pics up. I would guess my hair to be 35cm2 on top. I am planning on talking with Shapiro in September-October and see what they think. Your right the angle of the pic makes a big difference. Im trying to get one of every angle so people can have a clear understanding, with flash and without. With out a doubt I have made a significant jump forward since my HT, now that I understand what can be accomplished my greed is kicking in and I want to go 50+ cm2 up on top and through out. But I am also much more confident with my appearance and myself asteam than I was pre-op. I am very curious to see what changes do come about in the next 5 months.

  2. kg007, If you look at my blog and compare 5 months to my 7 months. when I had same haircut and nothing in my hair. I cant see to mucch of a difference. My hair grows forward and so when i take pics of it from the front it looks thinner than if I let it grow a little longer. I have heard people say I have 30% more growth to come and thickening. So I will keep my hair the same and takes pics and we will see. Documenting this is like my own little science project.

  3. I just added more 7 months post op pics. I cut my hair to a number 4 on the sides and back and a number 8 on the top. My hair looks fuller when a bit longer, but i think these pictures give a more accurate picture of my progress. I am going to document this now every month upto a year so we can all see what changes occur month by month and I will also keep my hair the same length and take the pics under the same lighting. My guess is im about 35cm2 on top and would like to goto 50+ on top.

  4. Spursman, I can tell you from my own expirience you will be full of anxioty all the way up to the prosedure. Then you will most likly get the HT blues, Where you think "what the heck did I just do" Then after you heal and about 4-5 months you will be excited when the hair comes in. This is all part of the process. I will probally go back for HT number 2, and it will be nothing like going in for th first one. When you go for you first, even after you have done your research, its still walking on faith and hoping it goes the way you want. I also believe because its such a big decision if things turn out how you hoped, its even that much more gratifying. good luck

  5. Yes it does hurt when people tease you in areas that we are insecure. I have used this as a learning expirience in my life to have compasion on people who go through things, now I can relate to thier insecurities. I personally dont like the "take revenge approach" but believe you should pick your battles. I dont think that battle was woth fighting, I pity that guy, hes half dead and miserable trying to get anyone down he can- dont let him steal your joy. The good news is you can get a HT, what can he do?

  6. i am happy with my doc. so I would recommend my doc. Top doc is talked about a lot, but its a matter of opinion. I would compare it too professional sports, you have your pro athletes then you have the elite who are above the rest in the game, i dont think there is a best athlete. What some people do is start a list of 3-5 docs and research them reading past posts and maybe consulting all 3 online, them weeding it down to what doc you feel will be best for you.

  7. I talked to Dr Rose about your question, as It was also mine icon_biggrin.gif. I am very happy with my growth thus far and wonder is this it or will more come. It is very possible for more growth to come all the way upto a year. I have even read some post that people stated thier best growth came 12-14 months. I believe its different for everyone and some people start earlier and some start later, but you can expirience new growth all the way upto a year and hair thickening itself. I hope mine thickens up more to and wish I had a better grasp of what to expect in the next couple months, unfoutunatley we have to just wait. sure is a lot of waiting involved in a ht.

  8. I still disagree on the assessment you only have 2500-4000 grafts available. I say this mostly because i have never heard of it and it is so rare. I think you should do some online consulting in the coarse of the next year and see what some of the top docs recommended from this site tell you.

  9. I agree with at least 3500+. To be successfull at big session it takes a team that is highly efficient, its very time consuming. I think it sucks going through the downside of healing ( mine was not too bad either ) but I think its better to have less sessions and more progress, majorly because the downtime and waiting sucks. so why go through it any more than you have to?

  10. dhuge67,

Im glad you are taking positive steps forward with Feller. Im not going to argue with you about past posts. Being naive would be going through with a HT and not knowing any better, but when everyone tries to give conflicting advice as your HT game plan and you still go forward, well you cant blame it on being niave. I do feel you have a lot ot offer this comunity from your expirience, not that it was a bad one, or even a bad Dr, but knowing what you know now it would have probally been a different plan and people can learn from your gained wisdom. I will be curious how your consultation goes with Feller and what he recommends, please keep us posted. Thanks

  11. I can remeber you posting and you didnt want to take anyones advise, you were very arrogant, it seems you have humbled yourself now and are open minded to other people feedback. I think you will need another session of 3000+ and fill in where its thin from ht number 1. And this time I would reccomend you check out some of the recommended Drs on this site. also they say we can expireince new growth all the way upto a year so hang on and watch untill then, meanwhile y0u could start to research your next move by interviewing other docs, just my opinion.

  12. I just clicked the first part on that site and he says he thanks Ron Shapiro for all his help and wishes there were more doctors out there like him ( he is a exclusive HT doctor) I think it only validates what everyone on this site will tell you DO RESEARCH. A ht is is a bad choice if you dont understnad what you are doing or goto a bad doctor!!! It shouldnt be a choice out of emotional dispair, but rather a educated one after concluding you have done enough research, if you truely research this enough you will be able to make a choice if you should or not. That site only should make you feel good about getting a ht if you use Ron Shapiro icon_biggrin.gif

  13. If you have never had a ht before you should have more donor than 2500-4000. I think you should check hasson and wong out for you next procedure. Even if you have modest goals I think you could do much better. I would have encouraged you to try to go for 3000+ and focused on the the frontal hair line and fade into the crown, then go back for one more big bang and I think you could have cover a lot. it would still have a thinned look, but would have been drastic in appearance. Check out joetronics pics. I think 1200 is way to small a procedure to even have a HT. just my thoughts good luck

  14. incubus99, I went to Dr Rose and am basically 7 months post op and am happy. I have seen great work from Dr charles and Epstien. I have not seen to many post from Baumans patients, so I have not formed a opinion on him yet. I think you will need a mega session and maybe a small tweeking after that, or two sessions of 2000-2500 for a full restoration. good luck Troy

  15. I have read a lot on this forum, my GUESS is you are a late bloomer. Gorphy was a late bloomer too. You went to a great clinic, just have to wait a little longer. When I talked with DR Rose in a follow call, he said growth can come anytime in that first year. I would call Joetronic as he would be a good one to talk with.
