  1. Just to leteveryone know, im 32 n will be 33 in couple of months.
  2. Its752 how long ago was your first second and third HT. do you have any pictures? what norwood scale were you during your first HT Im curious because if you went to HW for your third HT, how many grafts did the dr. transplant?
  3. Josh-B thank god for Al gore, who created the Internet. without the "net" we would look silly because we would go to Bosley and getting all would get butchered. DAMN THOSE INFOMERICALS.
  4. okay so i found this link, one that Pat wrote up on a patient by dr sharpio in MN. I believe the patient has almost my kind of baldness pattern and Dr sharpio only used 1480 grafts. So, i dont see where Dr.Siporin is off with his estimate of how many grafts i need. http://hair-restoration-info.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/209...1/m/5521068082/inc/1
  5. its752 who was your last HT doctor that you went to?
  6. NG2GB thanks for your help.. below is a link on density which i found on the forum. http://www.hairlosslearningcenter.org/content/news/hair...ticle.asp?CopyID=105
  7. NG2GB The grafts count that Dr Siporin gave was just an estimate based on pictures i sent him. I am going to have a in person consult with him the day before my schedule surgery, then he will be able to determine the exact amount of grafts I need. I am sure Dr. Feller is an excellent doctor in this field and I will bring up his evaluation to Dr Siporin for his input. I know I wont have the same density I have back when I was 21 years old, all Im looking for is to recreate that hairline and hopefully get some density. It's very hard to acheive a density of 50% or greater with only one surgery.
  8. Feb28th is D-Day, where my back hair army will invade and conquer my frontal weak DHT stricken army.
  9. Thanks Bill. I chose him because of the forum recommedation and memebers who have experience with his first class skills. I have ran the search for his patients on here and found very good reviews and pictures.
  10. hairthere thanks for the comment, but I like from what I'm hearing about Dr Siporin on this forum and there are members here that back his creditinals. Im pretty sure I am making the right choice by choosing him. I wish I do have the luxury of chasing down potential doctors former patients, but i dont have the time nor $ to do that. This forum is the next best thing in choosing a high quality doctor because people here are real and living testimony of their experience with a particular doctor. He's very conservative in his approach, he told me that the I might need a second HT for density. So he's not trying to push mega sessions, because i know from reading on this forum, one HT session may not be enough, but a second one maybe needed depending on how you want to look. As for me, I just want restore my hairline to where I want it to be-first, then a second HT will be considered years from now when technology advances. i am fortunate that my hairloss hasnt been great but rather gradual.
  11. I just got the phone with Dr.Siporin and I am schedule for a consult with him on the 27th and if all goes well, my surgery with him is on the 28th. He gave me a rough ballpark figure of 1500grafts just by looking at the pictures I submitted. But the exact count will be determined once he sees me in person. I chose him because he is recommended by this forum and i believe he will do a great job. thanks you guys for your advices and help.
  12. can you use petreolum(sp) jelly, i know i used it on my tattoo when i got it done to relieve the itch.
  13. WOW, what confidence a new set of hair will do to a person-weight lost, whiter teeth, botox. truely awesome.
  14. Mankind, I think its best if you find a friend who is asian and have a similar face structure like yourself and ask the HT doctor if the hairline is doable to copy your friend. This forum has taught me that everyone has different hairline. You can do what I do, I snap a picture of myself and use Microsoft Paint and draw a hairline, I'll ask some people which hairline works best-natural- and go from there.
  15. No No, I am not Mankind and Mankind is not my alter ego NG2GB.
  16. I know what Im going to do with the Tax Rebate check that is coming.
  17. Dr. Feller Thank you for your insightful input. How would consulation work since we are pretty much one end of the country apart? I dont have much money, the money I'm saving is pretty much for the operation, flying back and forth is something I cant really do. Everyone else that chime in on this thread, you guys are the best! I no longer have a narrow view. Gosh, I think because i really want this done so bad that it kinda cloudy my overall judgement. I consider all who on this forum as my friends who without you guys, giving me sound advices, I would have probably regret my decision. Any recommended HT doctors on the west coast that does dense packing like Dr. Feller?
  18. Hairthere As I stated before, i do take the opinions on this board very seriously. And i'm not rushing into any surgery without digging deep. I'm open to any excellent HT doctors, but it seems that there are far less doctors that does transplant on asian men for me to gauge properly, I mean i know everyone has different hairs, etc, but if i was a white guy, i can gauge how I would look like with x numbers of grafts performed by doctors that is recommended on this forum. hope everyone understand my point of view. Oh and Dr.Pak said that i am a NW 5??
  19. NG2GB To answer your question, have you seen an asian person or in my case a vietnamese woman who had a nose job done by a non-asian doctor? Well I have seen many and believe me, the nose job is perfect, but it does not suit her facial feature. every ethnicity group has their basic common features which they share, hence why most asian people look like, most black people look like, and it goes for white people and other as well. I'm sure non-asian HT doctors do wonderful jobs at what they do best, but I personally feel that an asian HT doctor would know exactly what I want and give me the results I'm looking for.
  20. I know you guys arent doctors, but guessmating, how many grafts will I need and what norwood class do i belong in? I attached some pictures. My crown area is decent. I want a hairline that is .5cm or 1.0cm above the Frontalis muscle. is this doable? thanks
  21. Man, this is why I love this forum so much. All the input and opinions given here are the best. Yes opinions should not be followed, but nevertheless should be heard and I thank you guys. Nikkop23, yes this is the same doctor diep that was trained under Rassman. Beside Dr.Wong, are there any good asian HT doctors that you guys recommend? Dr.chang in southern california? I would go to Dr.Wong, but he's in vancouver and his office in the US is operated by a hair consultant. I rather have a direct consulation with the doctor and not someone else. thanks all!
  22. I am going with Dr. Diep in Los Gatos, Ca. I know he has not being reviewed on this forum, nor is he one of the preferred doctor. But after visiting Dr.Pak and consulting with other online surgeons and MRH clinic(i only went to just to get an opinion because you guys have shown me the lights on this and other big butcher clinics which I wont mention any names), I feel Dr. Diep is the best. Maybe because I, like Dr. Diep, am vietnamese and felt a good connection with him. Beside being the same ethnic group, what he said made sense. He drew a hairline that was not high but rather low to fit how Vietnamese hairline is suppose to be. Other doctors would draw a hairline that was pretty much the same for all their patients, but after months of researching on google, asian hairline is much lower than cauasians, mexicans, etc. You guys really help me out in what to expect in HT, pros and cons on it and I really appreciate that. My schedule date is sometime at the end of the month. I am going in for a second consult with him on Monday so we can draw a game plan. I will post up pics and start using the hairblog to update everyone on my status. Hopefully, I wont look odd because I have a wedding to attend to in May. Again, thank you everyone, especially Bill, for this forum and I will update everyone on my progress. You guys pretty much kicked the crap outta my stomach to chase away the butterflies i had about HT.
  23. Thanks Bill for this awesome informative forum. Just one suggestion, can you guys post your Norwood class with your pictures? This way, it makes it easier to see how a certain norwood type transplant looks like after surgery and how many grafts was placed so newbie like me would get a visual of what the results would be. I am a norwood class 3a and would love to see the results of other members who are classified as NW3a. thanks for the pictures posted!
  24. Thanks Richie for the link. I am reading it as i'm typing this reply.
