  1. I ask this question before, but I guess the thread didnt get bump up..can i wear a beanie??
  2. TA, im quoted at 2k-2500 grafts which will probably all i need. i also used that animated graft calculator and it also recommend 2500 grafts for almost max density. Bill. I think i will ask dr wong to shave my sides and back, i rather show ppl see my scar then to be a member of ringley brothers circus. hehehe. Plus i got bought a cool hat from burberry, so im styling it baby!!!! As you can tell from my post, I'm super hyper excited. Charles,aka-Its752, can vouch on my enthusiam(sp). Bill, you're planning on a fourth???? geeze man, i know tattooing is addicting but HT??? hahhahaha. you're looking good already my friend.
  3. Okay So initially, I was going to get HT end of this month. I have let my hair grown out for about a month or maybe little bit less. I usually get a hair cut every two weeks. My new HT date is march20th by Dr.Wong. yes after reviewing, searching, banging my head against the wall trying to come to a decision on a HT doctor, finally, decided to go with Dr.Wong. So i have another 3 weeks to go, should i leave my hair and let it grow into a mullet or can i cut my hair, if i do cut, what number blade should i tell my stylist to use- YES i have a stylist, because im too sexy for my shirt.

  5. I once had a consult with Dr.Pak,he told me propecia can either lower ur sex drive or kick it into rabbit gear? Is this true? I think it does the rabbit affect on me. This was before my consult with me, then I was thinking damn maybe thats why i'm like a jackrabbit.
  6. can i wear a beanie instead of a baseball cap after surgery?
  7. Cricketlove have you tried other doctors on the forum and ask them about your concerns? I had an appt with Dr.Pak a month ago. From my screening with him, he said I will eventually be a NW5, which currently im a NW3a and have been for the past 4-5 years. After posting questions and concerns on this forum, members have suggested that I ask for second, third, fourth, fifth opinions from other clinics that are not necessary located in my backyard. Ultimately, the decision to go with which HT doctor is up to you and who will suit your needs the best. I am going to refrain from saying who's the best HT doctor because i, myself, am still searching for that one doctor who will suit my need. After researching, I have a few doctors that I want to go to for my operation. So research, research and research to find your doctor.
  8. that asian tech is a cutie, makes me wanna book my HT with H&W asap!! Woohooo!!!
  9. NG2GB Hey i gotta look GOOOOOD to play golf and attract dem bunnies on the green!!
  10. but wouldnt the area still be tender for the blade or blade guard to touch it?
  11. okay so after reviewing a lot of patients pictures after their HT, when can you shave off the rest of your head so you wont look george on seinfield.
  12. Yes, thank God, the top clinics are not charging an arm and a leg. What i meant about cost is that Im not going to go to a clinic that charges 1 dollar a graft or 2 dollars, those are warning signs. I would still choose one of the top clinic, but would consider the amount of grafts i should do now, should i do half or 3/4 then finish it up another year or two and see how the results are, if need be, to schedule a second surgery. sure, a one shot megasession is sweet, but like I said, I'm not a millionaire, so breaking down the procedure might be more cost efficient for me with my budget.
  13. HairThere, Choosing a doctor is like buying a car, and not leasing one =) top doctors are like MBZ,BMW,Acura, lexus and while the doctors to avoid are like hyundai and yugo. I'm narrowing my field down to a couple, I sent more questions and new taken pictures to the doctors and see how they respond. I know some of the ppl on the forum suggest that money shouldnt be a factor in choosing a doctor, but lets be honest, everyone cares about money and how much HT cost. So, I'm going to weigh everything-money, doctor skills, etc. in determining the right doctor. And will choose the best doctor that fit my needs and my budget. One good thing is that I wont be choosing one that is not recommended on this forum.
  14. aw man, guess golf on Wii is out of the question too hehe. okay then call of duty 4 on my xbox360 will do then. thanks guys. side note- i know there are many forums beside this one, but i think this forum has more valuable opinions that are genuine then other forum.
  15. I was thinking the day after surgery, or is it too soon? whats the best suggestion. thanks guys.

  17. Bill, I agreed with you. when I posted my questions here, i felt almost everyone tried to swayed me from choosing the doctor of my choice to their doctor or the doctor he/she intend to go to in the near future. you, my friend, and couple other members told me that i selected a great surgeon and should do my due dilligent in researching before committing on a HT doctor. i do appreciate the opinions of members who recommend a great physician, but i dont like to be told that if i dont go with surgeon A or B, i will be disappointed. Im sure members on this forum did not visit every single HT doctors on this planet and have an inperson meeting, but rather thru words of mouth. If we only recommending a handful of surgeron, in this case and in mine, 3, how will HairTransplant community and network grow without adding new doctors to our list or recommendation. I just wish everyone would recommend at least 5 or 6 or more doctors and have the person who posted the pictures to do his research by calling the doctor offices and talking to the doctors and personally choose one that he/she feel capable of delivering the result. Im not trying to bump Dr.Siporin, but he is the only doctor out of 5 that i emailed with my pictures, that actually called and talked to me personally. that to me is a big plus.
  18. thanatopsis_awry I'm not sure either. Too bad I lost his email that his office sent back in Jun-July of 2007. Maybe its the hair fairy???
  19. Below is an email just received from Dr.Siporin.. "Yes I do dense packing similar to Dr.Feller. I am able to get as many grafts as possible, because I have technical skills as a plastic surgeon, which allows me to get as many grafts as possible, while limiting the scarring. I will perform the surgery very similar to the way Dr. Feller does. In terms of the number of grafts, I estimate about 800 one hair grafts and 400 to500 two hair grafts, and then 400 three hair grafts. However, I do not have your photos in front of me, so realize this is just a guess, and this is just the hair line and a couple of centimeters behind the hair line. I hope I answered your questions. Ken Siporin "
  20. Just got this email from Dr.HW office.. "Thank you for your interest in Hasson & Wong. Dr. Wong has reviewed your case and feels that 2000 to 2500 grafts will address your needs depending on final hairline placement. The doctor will rebuild a proper hairline for you that will better frame your face and give you density and volume for the area immediately behind the hairline. "
  21. Im sure happy that I didnt go with my first choice of doctor. you guys save my ass there-good call!
  22. I just sent off an email to Dr.Siporin pointing him to this thread and what has been awesome inputs from everyone. here is an excerpt from what i sent him '<posting from Dr.Feller> Everysince that post by Dr.Feller and what I posted on the thread from our discussion, there have been many agreement and disagreement on the number of grafts and dense packing I will need. I know that you can not give a precise count of grafts needed just by looking at pictures, but in your own opinion, is your graft count ballpark figure correct and do you do dense packing to what Dr.Feller is suggesting.' As soon as I get a response from Dr.Siporin, I will post up his comment, or maybe he will log on and reply back. I have sent him the link to this thread.
  23. Hairthere Dr Siporin only said that i might need a second HT, because he can not diagnosis properly without having me in the office. I'm sure other doctors who do online consultation will either be conservative with their grafts estimate or aggressive with their estimate. Back in mid 2007, HW doctors gave me an estimate of 3500 grafts and Dr.Rahal gave the same estimate. Personally,(i can be wrong on this), I feel its very hard for any Dr., whether its HT, internal medicine, etc, to properly diagnosis without have the patient in front of them. Tho i feel, online consultation is good in a way that it gives you a rough estimate, but going in and seeing the doctor is the best. I really wish Dr.Feller would chime in and give his opinion again on the subject, if Dr.Siporin is able to dense pack the hair, and what grafts count does he estimate.
