  1. Hey Brister, You going to put your pics up? I may have done the longest research known to mankind but I have finally chosen the Glasgow Clinic.I had a medical issue which dragged on and on but I think it is finally sorted,so I will be asking them for a date in September. In the end it came down to them really because of one person working there, Dr Sergei Federov. I believe he was the main man at the Blackrock clinic Ireland who have done tons of people, including James Nesbitt,Louis Walsh etc Good enough for me and I will be posting my results on here. sammi
  2. actually Spex helpful post, as I had one place suddenly come up with an appointment the next day. I see you recommend lots of doctors, are they all of equal skill? How do you decide if a patient should have FUE or strip? Have you any form of medical training to help you decide if a doctor qualifies for recommendation? Sometimes small is beautiful as I've discovered Dr Heitman, he told me he has one tech and pretty much does everything himself.in my opinion he is far superior to any U.S.doctor and most Europeans, Only my opinion. Sam
  3. Don't worry Spex I'm real enough, Though I have spent enough time finding my clinic and am going to bite the bullet in the New year. Why I would have to answer to you though I don't know Sam
  4. All sounds good but I would approach this on the understanding that there would be no guarantees. Check out Lorenzo and Bisanga as I've read somewhere they've done a fair Amount of this type of work. Sammi
  5. Spex, I may have gone a bit over the top on my rant but it was not meant to be personal just an opinion.A bit like James Nesbitt on TV at the moment. Good for you if you can get doctors to pay you to be on your website. about ?400 a month id wager so good one? Though that other guy did have a point,I've read about Bauman and nothing good. Same for the crown clinic in that I have never read a good review. Where do you get your information for them being good as it will help others or is it done because they will pay? Sammi
  6. EJ I have followed you over the years and found your recovery inspirational. I have been on here for a few years and followed you also on another site that you Post on.My own quest for surgery has only got back on track now that I'm medically fit. Spex, Sorry and I'm not picking on you but your pass remark was both crass and I'm afraid a bit Typical of someone who is getting too much of a belief in their own self importance. I don't know whether your own self publicity machine is taking over as you seem to be all over the media these days. This site is for the benefit of patients and not Spex Plc Now rant over, definitely a PR type stunt . Sammi
  7. Rashid, I can feel your pain in your posts, I hope that you can be helped in some way. I'm not sure about body hair, from my research there are very mixed results and no guarantees. What were the actual responses from the other clinics that you mention? From what you say they would seem to be very different from each other. Sammi
  8. Hi all, I have spent a long time in researching and had narrowed it down to Lorenzo or Feriduni for FUE but.............................. There seems to be a new player in the game, check out The Glasgow Clinic. They did James McFadden and Chris Boyd I think. I have met them recently and saw a patient who was I think 8 months out and it looked damned good. No negatives from me on this one. Now its down to three for FUE but am tempted to stay closer to home just in case there are any issues to be dealt with. this hair research is pretty tough. Sammi
  9. Stig, Harley Street clinic are recommended by Spex on his website so I assumed they were good? If I have FUE though it's between Lorenzo and Feriduni.(I think) Dr Feller if I'm wrong about waivers I apologise. Not sure where you got that I mentioned we are third world in Europe as I said nothing of the sort.I pointed out our standards are equal to any where in the world. I have seen lots of completed results on this site and others of FUE cases, just do a search. I Am not sure why you picked up on FUE and third world. My point is that that Europeans are not travelling to the U.S. In droves as you state. They may have done in the past but they no longer do so.The proof being the limited numbers that now come on here and other sites to share their stories. My observation re third world is that there seem to be some decent doctors, especially Dr Erdogan in Turkey and Dr Bhatti in India. Do you doubt the moderators result by Dr Bhatti? What is a hair mill? if Neograft and Artas is not an example of a hair mill Set up I don't know what is.Are lots of these used by practitioners who don't specialise in hair? similar to your analogy ? Anyway the point of these forums is to learn and share, which we have done. Sammi
  10. Hi Stig, Have you actually met any patients from the UK? I have and the results I saw were as good as anything I have seen online. One came Very highly recommended. My only quandary still is whether to do FUE or strip. Dr Feller, having read your post a couple of times It comes over almost as being disrespectful to European doctors. Many of whom have been providing world leading treatments for a number of years and are actually recommended on this site. Whilst I respect your opinion ;I pretty much disagree with everything that you have to say. Let’s forget the malpractice suing culture the US has because most if not all doctors protect themselves from such actions by having the patient sign a disclaimer. Health regulations in the UK, Belgium, Spain and Switzerland are very strict, whilst this does not guarantee a competent doctor it does give peace of mind for cleanliness and medical protocols are followed reducing the risk of post op complications. I`ve been an avid researcher on numerous forums for several years. One thing that is apparent is that there are many patients who are having surgery outside the US with very good results. Look at the FUE results on this very forum; the vast majority are happy patients outside the US. I do not see droves of UK or European patients posting about their surgery in the US, it simply aint happening now. I do see more US patients travelling abroad for surgery. Even the moderator on here travelled from there to the 2nd or third world enclave as you refer to it. With what looks like an excellent result from Dr Bhatti. You mentioned hair mills but what else is the neograft and Artas helping to establish? From what I have read this is spreading like wildfire over there. Just my thoughts. Sammi
  11. Having taken over 4 years to finally create my short list of doctors. Two UK,one Spain ,one Switzerland and two Belgium. Why on earth would anyone from the UK go to the States? I know that there are some high calibre doctors like Konior,Shapiro,Hasson etc but the likes of Bisanga,Hattingen ,Lorenzo etc are more than equal? Sammi
  12. Now i know why i came back on here.to see great results like this. Does anyone know if there are any problems still in Thailand? Sammi
  13. I have been a member here for a long time but am not really a poster type of person but better later than never. I have been thinking about surgery for a while now.I have contacted a couple of clinics in the past but still cant decide if to go ahead with it. Have any other members had this sort of hesitancy in not knowing whether to go forward with this? If so what have been the deciding factors to go one way or the other? So many questions, with not knowing the answers. It is enough to send you mad. Thanks to any one who can advise.
