  1. I just received the Xyon topical as well.  In the instruction booklet it mentions the two pump every other day method for covering larger areas.  Personally, I'm unsure how to proceed as I would like to cover the whole top of my scalp, however, 2 pumps worth seems like a lot of the drug all in one shot. I had a thought that a person could alternate scalp regions each day - front half one day back half the next day.  This morning was my second application. I tried to cover as much area as possible with one pump. In terms of the actual application, I'm not sure if I'm getting more on my scalp or more on existing hair.

  2. So, the instructions say that if you are covering a large area you should apply 2 pumps worth eod. That seems like a massive dose. I buzzed my hair off to make application easier if I do pull the trigger. I thought this was a good idea but then I remembered I'm supposed to be spreading this slop on my head for the rest of my life.

  3. Thanks very much for providing that information. I need to make a decision about the oral/topical route. Are you planning to apply to your entire scalp?  Do you have any concerns regarding getting it on to your actual scalp as opposed to wasting a bunch coating your existing hair?

  4. Thanks for the reply. I'm really undecided about oral or topical but I need to make a decision. A few other questions if you don't mind.

    1. If you apply in the morning is it okay to shower later in the evening?

    2. Do you apply to the whole scalp? To me it would seem difficult to make sure you were hitting every spot. Obviously with the oral, the entire scalp is receiving the fin. In the email from xyon, instructions said that if a person wants to cover a large area, they could use 2 pumps worth every 2nd day instead of one pump everyday.

  5. Could someone who has used this topical please give me a rundown of your routine.  I'm really struggling with the oral/topical decision.

    - are you applying everday or eod?

    - do you apply in the morning or evening?

    - do you shower first?

    - I know the idea behind this gel is a slow, timed release - how long after application would a person have to wait before working out and showering?

Thanks for any insights that you can provide.

  6. I'll be 60 in 2 months. Haven't been on medication as I have been pretty much stable for over a decade. Can't believe how much my crown has deteriorated in the last  6 months. I didn't notice until recently because I never looked at it (wear a hat most days as I'm retired and can't be bothered to style it up).

  7. Does he apply it to his entire scalp?  On their website, it shows the amount dispensed with one pump and it doesn't look like it would cover a whole scalp. I haven't received it yet. Actually, I've just encountered a major hurdle as I have been informed by Xyon that they do not partner with any pharmacies in the province where I live (Saskatchewan). This is very disappointing as I was really hoping to try it out.

  8. Hey guys. I was excited to try this new topical but I'm wondering how difficult it is to actually apply? How is a person supposed to make that one little pump's worth cover the entire top of the scalp?  I  just don't get it. Seems especially problematic with a lot of existing hair. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

  9. Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. My hairloss and hair texture is pretty similar to yours. I'm a canuck too. I'm of a similar mindset. Considering worst case sceanarios ie. meds don't work/stop working/ sides etc. Did u find you shed much when starting minoxidal? I wonder if the minoxidal would make it easier for the xyon topical to go systemic?

  10. The more I look at your results the more impressed I am.  I've always been amazed by the coverage that Dr. Konior seems to get with a given # of grafts.  Looks like the master has instilled this skill in his protege. That's awesome that you've only used up 2000 grafts.

I'm on the fence regarding oral fin vs the xyon topical.  Are you using both minoxidal and the topical fin? How long did it take to get the xyon after you submitted your order?

  11. Looks terrific. You chose a great surgeon. I have a couple of questions.

    1. Did the doctor mention your total donor capacity? How many grafts did she feel would be needed to address the crown?

    2. Your hair appears to be quite fine in texture. Is that the case?

    3. How high is the middle of your new hairline from your eyebrows?
