  1. I am myself a doctor in Sciences and dislike, no HATE, loosing my time with trivial and repetitive questions or issues that once been answered/addressed find their way back into a conversation.

I, unlike Robert, answer in the most simplest statements... You are a pompous ass!!

As a doctor in Sciences, as you state, I hope you are never mine. I worry that you would give half ass answers, because as you state, "loosing my time with trivial and repetitive questions or issues that once been answered/addressed find their way back into a conversation"

Here it is simple your Highness... Your a Jack Ass!

  2. jules,

set your worries aside... Everything sounds good and normal.

What you are experiancing should be temporary shock loss. This is due to the trauma caused to the surrounding areas of the transplanted area.

You are correct that there is no definetive explaination. In most cases, if the hairs surrounding are not DHT receptors, then they will come back. You probably won't be able to get any good judgement what is going on, until 3 months in.

JUST BE PATIENT!! And I as well as many others, wish you luck!! Keep us posted!

  3. rsanders, Your experiance and situation mirrors mine to the tee.

I went to MHR when I was 26 to get my hairline back.

The doctor misinformed me, ok, he flat out lied, and I ended up regretting it.

The HT caused excellerated hairloss, and made my air look completely terrible. I went from thinning to bald in a matter of 10 months due to MHR.

You are fortunate to be asking questions now, and not have done the mistake I did. I went for another HT when I was 28 only to have picked another quack physician, putting money over the patient first.

Keep up hope, and don't give up. Start reading and learning. and you will find yourself in the right hands.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

    GOOD LUCK!!

  4. it takes about 40-45 hairs, per 1sq. centimeter, to look like you have a full head. But that is with ideal single hair density (thickness). Sometimes a little less if someone has really course hair.

You could get pretty decent coverage from the figures you posted, but I doubt it would give a full look.

  5. yes.. shockloss is very real. But, you can help determine if you may be suseptable to it by looking at your family history of the extent of baldness.

People who suffer permanent shockloss, are people who had work done in the areas were the hair was eventually doomed to DHT anyway.

So investigating yourself and not getting work done if you may loss it down the road in these areas, could save you years of hair.

    hope that helps
