Regular Member vik0809 Posted April 3, 2008 Regular Member Share Posted April 3, 2008 Am about 17 days post-op. While washing my hair, obviously am seeing some of the transplanted hairs falling out. As I understand it, this is expected, but i am also seeing hairs with little white stuff at the tip of the follice. How do we know this is just a scab and not a graft itself ? No pain or bleeding otherwise.. I have been spending a little more time in the shower trying to get rid off the scabs, but very mild shower stream.. thanks in advance... Senior Member repo-man Posted April 4, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted April 4, 2008 From what I've been reading on the forums, this is completely normal. These grafts have been intact for awhile, so no need to worry. I started shedding at the 5/6 day mark, no blood or pain either. Dr. Feller - 3,168 grafts on 3/27/08 http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=
Bill - Seemiller
vik, Repo is right. The hair is probably attached to the scab or some dead dry skin. Since you are not seeing bleeding, you should be fine. Grafts would have to be surgically removed by the 10th day. Bill
