  4. Just posted pics of my 3 week update, HT with Dr. Wong.I know the lighting is'nt all that great.. Scabs have mostly fallen off, minimal itching. transplanted hairs are falling, falling & falling. Also, shock loss around the donor and recipient area. Hope to post pics with better lighting next week & also shall take some shots of the donor area.. http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=653 any comments ?

  6. The scar is healing well. Its covered with the hair I let grow prior to tx. But I hear you could use dermatch 2 cover up, if u have some hair around. Since u shaved the area around, I would wear a cap 2 work or use an xcuse like u hurt urself and needed surtures or something... I still have tenderness around donor area which is expected & is improving..No bleeding or discharge..Scalp does feel tight around the area, when i turn my neck while driving etc.
  7. Am about 17 days post-op. While washing my hair, obviously am seeing some of the transplanted hairs falling out. As I understand it, this is expected, but i am also seeing hairs with little white stuff at the tip of the follice. How do we know this is just a scab and not a graft itself ? No pain or bleeding otherwise.. I have been spending a little more time in the shower trying to get rid off the scabs, but very mild shower stream.. thanks in advance...

  9. Am 17 days post-op. Started using toppik day 13 post-op. I have been diligently washing my hair with shampoo every evening on getting back home from work. I checked with Dr. Wong, who said its fine. Would love to hear comments from guys further out ....
  10. looking good, xtremely clean,, i am at the 2 week mark and almost forgotten that i had a procedure done except when i look in the damn mirror and tingling every now and then... the 1st days were the most uncomfortable thankx to the staples,,not so much pain.. just curious why did u stop with the front and not go further back to the crown.. mine was more mid -scalp and crown ! heal well....
  11. Agree with Rambler. I had work done on my crown, so unless someone is taller than me or looks at my crown directly one cannot tell I had work done. Am using Toppek to cover up. No one can tell I had a tx , but its obviously noticable that I am balding, as even the toppek needs hair to hold onto. Till i get back to my pre-tx stage its gonna look bad..but there's no way out. Unless of course, you can get away for 2 months.. I am about 2 weeks out, I have no large scabs but more like diffuse white dandruff but very minimal !!
  12. here's the link . http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=653 i've been showering my head for the last 4 days with a mild jet stream from the shower head on the recipient area and letting the water run on the donor area. Obvsly numbess is still there, though it has improved considerably. Got a haircut today. Will be back to work in a day. Plan to use toppek on the graft area & wash it up after I get back from work (checked with dr.wong, who said its ok).Continuing with baby shampoo. Plan to give it another week and then back to the gym (3 weeks since surgery) and plan to only run and do leg weights for 2 weeks, no pressure on the head. Propecia 1mg every other day. MSM -1 tab B-comples 1 every day
  13. Am at day 10 post op. Just got the staples out earlier today. To say the least,, i feel liberated. Will post pics tomorrow, after a hair cut. can i go back to sleeping like a normal person, or should i still be careful & not put pressure on the donor/ recipient area ?? thankx !!

  15. I've heard of this before.. u can have some shock loss in areas u did not recieve a graft !! that should plateau soon and then u should grow those hairs back.. were u using rogaine prior & not now ? that could lead to rebound hair loss !! r u sure about the propecia? how about the alternate day dosing ? Get on MSM and B-complex if ur not already. oh & did u check with Dr. Wong about it ?
  16. not exactly white disclrtn. few mins after a shower there is minimal white flake like on the scalp skin, which is probably dryness.. scalp appears pretty clean otherwise..what i am curious about is, should'nt there be signs of scab formation in a week ? i've been washing my hair daily with a baby shampoo & gently dabbing with a towel & not touching the graft area !! i've attached the link with updated pics... http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=653 thankx !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. So now, I am post-op day # 7.No itching so far, hence I have'nt had the need yet to use the Aloe I bought. Qstn regarding scabs: Only today, I am seeing some white discoloration on my scalp. Am assuming this is the scabs beginning to form. Dont most people lose their scabs by now ? Since its kinda late for me, could it mean that only now the healing is beginning. Also, should I start using finger tips & start getting them out or could I let them fall on their own ? Also, thnkx everyone for ur advise on staple removal. 3 more days to go, can't wait !! Will post pics on day #10 after removal...

  20. am due for staple removal next week. As I live miles away from dr. wong's clinic, any suggestions as to where I could go for staple removal ? I live alone, hence no options at home, also I have'nt told my friends about it !!

  22. hey notgoing2gobald !! just updated by blog with a pic shot from the top..hope that gives u an idea !! as u can tell, quite some hair loss on top !! graft count was suggested by Dr. Wong !! Also, am being realistic and did not want to pack the crown too much ! Am ok with some thinning in the crown as long as the top/front are covered ... hehe...nothing against aloe ! dr. wong had recommended I not use any aids for a week !, but was his suggestion and nothing written in stone !!
  23. thankx people for ur comments !!! Will add pics 2 my blog as the days go by .. Am going 2 try and not use aloe or other topical aids on the recipient area, lets see how that goes...
