Regular Member shadows Posted October 10, 2002 Regular Member Share Posted October 10, 2002 I have very thick hair in the back and am only a NW2...My hair in front is quite thin...Is this good or bad?? Regular Member Oliver Posted October 19, 2002 Regular Member Share Posted October 19, 2002 My hair like many is thicker in the back than front. This is essentially why we get a HT. The good thing is is that your thick hair will (at least appear) bring density to the front, at least it did for me. I imagine if you have fine, thin, flat hair that you won't get the excellent results vs. the guy with the thick hair. Good luck!
Senior Member Belgiumdude Posted December 25, 2003 Senior Member Share Posted December 25, 2003 i just saw this post and i dont completely agree, thick hair will give better density but thick hair will also give the least natural hairlines. Or am i wrong here? By nature, the very frontal part of the hairline and temples is very fine hair Greetz. Or am i wrong here? No, I think that you are onto something. It can be hard to do a soft feathered hairline with extra coarse hair. Not impossible to do, but it takes some extra skill on the surgeon's part.
Regular Member Bushy (fka jontew) Posted December 26, 2003 Regular Member Share Posted December 26, 2003 Donor density = great. Donor thickness = not so good. (Hard to rebuild soft hairline.) In addition to being a patient of Dr. Hasson, I act as the legal counsel for Hasson and Wong.
Senior Member arfy Posted December 27, 2003 Senior Member Share Posted December 27, 2003 and lots of 2 and 3-follicle FUs = high donor density lots of 1-follicle FUs = low donor density
