Senior Member omviki Posted April 20, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted April 20, 2008 i never had hair transplant. I just bought a minoxidil 5% topical solution. should i apply it on the crown only or on crown and front? on the box it says only works on crown. is it really true? Check it out: i just bought 3 months supply from walmart for $18(generic of rogaine made by equate). #1 HT by Dr. Rahal on 08-21-08 Strip 26.6 cm Total 4308 grafts -1116 single grafts -2287 double grafts -898 triple grafts -7 quad grafts Total Hairs: 8412 Medications: Minoxidil 5% Finasteride 1 mg daily
Bill - Seemiller
omviki, Though Rogaine 5% has only been tested for the crown, a few patients have reported success in the forelock and frontal area of the scalp also. I have also heard a few physicians say that they believe it could have some benefit in the front. In my opinion, I would use it anywhere you are noticing any thinning hair. By the way - very nice deal for a 3 month supply! Bill
