Senior Member dakota3 Posted June 24, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted June 24, 2009 How do I determine whether or not I have MPB or there is some other underlying issue causing hair loss? Can a doctor/dermatologist tell me? I ask because I am the baldest person in my family. I have one uncle in his 50's who is a NW3 and my father is a NW3 and thats it. Everyone else has a full head of hair.

Bill - Seemiller
dakota, A doctor and/or dermatologist can run some medical tests to rule out other possible causes of hair loss. If your hair loss pattern is following that of male pattern baldness however, you may just be one of the unlucky ones in your family. Best wishes, Bill
