per my docs instructions, I began using Rogaine Foam at the two week after HT mark.

 

Couldn't tell you about gel use or blow dryers as I do not have enough hair to use either

Every doctor has their own set of instructions regarding Rogaine pre and post-op.

 

You can blow dry your hair on a very low and cool setting after a couple days. Depending on the hair product and location of the grafts, it's probably better to wait 6-10 days. It's best to avoid any alcohol based hair products for at least a few weeks as the scalp heals.

We advise our patients to wait 10 days post op for any hair products. Same for Rogaine. We had patients start Rogaine 5 days after surgery but had numerous complaints of irritation to their scalp. 10 days seems to work out better. You probably want to check with your ht doc on his recommendations.
