Researching to Hair Transplantation - Eugenix and DermaClinix

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi,
I'm planning to do my HT but I'm a bit confused.

I have NW 6 and I've been having hair loss for the last many years, I had issues with Dandruff, and just a few months back dandruff was gone.

I have consulted
1. MediSpa suggested 5000 grafts  (±500 grafts) to cover the front, mid-scalp, and vertex area
2. Eugenix suggested 3500+ grafts to cover the front, mid-scalp
3. DermaClinix also said it would be around 4500+

Tough Question
1. I don't know if 3500+ will be enough for me or if other clinics are suggesting such a high number for making money only.

2. Is it better to have surgery performed by:

  • DermaClinix: The main surgeons (AIIMS alumini)
  • Eugenix: The Exclusive Package, where they mentioned that the procedure will be done by Eugenix-trained doctors and technicians. (Not Senior Doctors, Senior Doctors is a different package). - Other packages 2x and 3.5x

3. I'm not sure if Eugenix-trained doctors are good enough for the hairline and designing of the hair, as what I understood from this forum is it's the artistic work that matters also I haven't seen recent posts from DermaClinix.

4. Also Eugenix wants to perform another session after 3-4 months, but I saw people in this forum, where they have completed 5000+ grafts in a single session (2 days apart).

Any suggestion, if you have guys please share.

@Ankit India I think what Eugenix mentioned with 3500 grafts they'll cover up front and mid zone. After that you'll need another procedure to cover up crown. I think it'll be your decision. If you  want to go for a full coverage, you can plan accordingly.

And regarding the package selection, there are multiple factors. In my case, I could afford the exclusive package so I went for that. Here in this forum you'll be seeing Eugenix senior and Eugenix trained doctors work. I hope I'll help you to choose.

Thanks @Shadman
#1 Yes, Eugenix covers only Front and Mid. I'll discuss with them for full coverage.

#2 I'll ask Eugenix who will be performing the ops, The doctor's name might help if I could find some reference here.
They have recently increased their packages a lot. Senior doc package now costs more than INR 210+.
Also, DermaClinix is not very popular here, but I heard locally (offline) that they are good and are AIIMS Alumni.

One thing with Eugenix is that you have to be very assertive in asking them exactly what you want. I don't mean this as in to be arrogant, but I find that in general, you need to remind yourself that you are the customer. You are paying them (not the other way around). It doesn't mean being rude but it does mean that you must have excellent communication. This holds true to all hair transplant surgeons.

If other packages are out of your

Budget you can look at Dr. Somesh

Last year he was at 120 INR package. Currently he's in which package ? Here you'll find some of his latest works

You are full blown NW-6 and be realisitic, you will need second HT for additional coverage.

I like Eugenix plan, ie to address front and Mid scalp, you can cover crown later.

RE Eugenix Packages, all the known Eugenix doctors have increased their cost.

thanks @Gatsby for valuable feedback.

@Shadman I'm don't know right now, but I'll ask for Dr. Somesh.

Hi @Rawkerboi I know I lost too much hairs, and I understand the ideal scenario but if there is a possiblity in single session, then I would preferer that, they have done 6000+ grafts in single sessions(multi-day off course), so I'll discuss. and yes packages are increases

I'll ask for Dr Somesh and Dr Priyadarshini Das I read here that they both are good.

I'm planning to visit the clinic next week, I keep posted about my new discussions and about my choices.
