My name is Ronald and I'm from Boca Raton, Florida. I'm Brazilian and have been in the USA for quite some time. Price: I paid 5 USD per graft. Treatments: The doctor recommends topical and oral minoxidil. Strategy adopted by Dr.: As soon as I arrived in Brazil, his team welcomed me warmly, and I had the first meeting with him to outline the definitive strategy for my surgery. Since I'm a class 6 on the NW scale, I already knew it would require many grafts. To devise the best strategy for my case, Dr. used scanning technology through the app he created, ScalpScan. With it, he created a faithful 3D model of my scalp and calculated all my bald areas and thinning zones. For greater accuracy of my grade, he said he no longer uses the Norwood scale as a parameter but rather the PRECISE SCALE, which measures from the bald area plus thinning zones. In this, my class was 7.7 (on a scale of 1 to 10). Surgery days: 2 consecutive days - totaling 1 session First day: 5736 grafts, with 1942 taken from my beard and 340 from my chest. Second day: 5647 grafts, with 1965 taken from my beard and 361 from my chest. Total: 11,383 - 6775 from my donor area behind the head, 3907 directly from my beard (mostly taken from the neck), and 701 from my chest. My experience: I'm extremely satisfied with what was proposed and done. I'm looking forward to my progress; it was one of the best decisions I could make. I returned to my homeland to fulfill the dream of restoring my hair. Senior Member Gramatik Posted April 26 Senior Member Share Posted April 26 Really big number of grafts taken from donor in one sitting of 2 days surgery...so its 6775 scalp grafts, 4000 beard grafts and 700 chest grafts...thats a huge amount of grafts..I wish you the best!
