Final result is very dense. How do you avoid shock loss when the patient has this much native hair?

Indeed,  a great result considering the navigation between existing hair

Special careful on the site making in the recipient area is important. Effluvium after surgery can happened but those hairs will grow back due to not direct injury to them. Medication is also the important factor that help avoiding severe shock loss. In this patient, I gave him on oral minoxidil 4 months prior to surgery.

Does oral minoxidil prevent shock loss? I've heard that finasteride could help but didn't know about minoxidil. How long before surgery would be necessary in order for it to have any protective effect?
