I think it looks very good! I've seen cases who have come quite a bit further at 4.5 months. But I have also seen A LOT of cases who had less growth at 4.5 months. Many cases seem to grow fairly slow and then suddenly hit the "BOOM" stage, which seems to vary anywhere from month 5 to 8, or sometimes even later. Please keep us posted and fingers crossed you will get solid growth the coming months!

Does oral minoxidil prevent shock loss? I've heard that finasteride could help but didn't know about minoxidil. How long before surgery would be necessary in order for it to have any protective effect?

There's a lot of focus on natural and "mature" or "age appropriate" hairlines on forums. And for good reason. If someone goes too low, too early, and their loss continues behind the transplant, it could end up looking weird. At least if they don't have grafts left to fill in behind. In your case, that risk looks rather low. In that case, I see no reason to worry about a low hairline. Many people have naturally low hairlines even at an old age, and I never heard anyone say that those hairlines look unnatural (they aren't..). So this kind of low hairline isn't for everyone. But it *seems* it could work for you. I'd be happy too in your shoes.

6 months is pretty early to see full results, I'd give it another 4-6 before making a final judgement. Before that, try some Toppik (or similar) in the thinning areas. It will make a huge difference.

Look super clean from the pics above. Do you have any before pics as well as immediately after surgery? I am following this surgeon with great interest. Hope you have a happy journey the coming 12 months!

Looks great. Will you post a 1 month update? Really curious to see her work on western hair. All cases seem brand new. But given her good outcomes on asian hair, things look very promising.
