Wearing a Beanie 7 days after a HT

I have to go back to work 7 days after my HT I work at a Children's Hospital and Had 1500 grafts done on my hairline....my hairline was shaved up about a inch for the procedure..my hair is long but there is no way I can cover it up. I just can't shave my head either...so what do you guys think of me wearing a beanie at work? Will this be very damaging to my HT?

I would avoid wearing a beanie as they're generally too constrictive. There are various opinions on the time it takes for the grafts to become fully secure. The only study I have read placed it at 9 days for the grafts to become fully secure - even after the 9 days, I would be worried about wearing a beanie. I don't think the conditions under a hot, snug beanie will help when it comes to healing in general.`(just my opinion)

Ive got a few beanies and they are all less resricting than a baseball cap, they are also softer with no hard edges, and you wont look like a kid serving a asbo order.

Though you are probably fine at 7 days to wear a regular baseball cap and/or beanie, I usually like to wait until 9 or 10 days to be on the safe size. I usually wear a lose fitting hat and/or bandana up to that point without any problems.
