Regular Member Sunset Dune Posted February 8 Regular Member Share Posted February 8 (edited) How many months after a hair transplant is it safe to cut the recipient area at the barber? Or is it recommended to just wait and grow it out until 12 months? Edited February 8 by Sunset Dune
Dr. Glenn Charles
I tell patients that once all of the scabs have fallen off in the recipient area and the scalp has returned to its normal color (redness gone away) it is safe to get a haircut. Generally this occurs in 7-10 days. I do tell them not to use a razor or trimmer with no guard for a few months.
