Regular Member defiance79 Posted July 26, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted July 26, 2023 I have been doing my research and receiving assessments from various reputable hair transplant clinics. All of them have been in the 3000-4000 graft range. HairTran clinic have said 3500-3800 grafts for either the crown or front only, and told me they focus on only one area at a time. If I want to do the front they recommend coming back in 6-12 months time. This seems quite different to what other clinics are quoting me for the same graft amount for crown and front hairline. Here are my pics: https://imgur.com/a/EdoD9OT https://imgur.com/a/sdf75k1 https://imgur.com/a/aDt7DOE https://imgur.com/a/LTtGRb2 https://imgur.com/a/56ZgYQr Anyone know if this is standard practice for Dr Patty - working on particular parts of the scalp only? Is this too many grafts just for my crown or front? Any opinions would be appreciated lads.

Regular Member BackFromTheBrink Posted July 26, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted July 26, 2023 Agreed. A maximum of 4k for the entire scalp seems more reasonable to me.

Senior Member JohnCasper Posted July 29, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted July 29, 2023 I would agree with 2,500 being plenty for the frontal. Crown doesn't look too bad at this point. I would concentrate on the front and keep an eye on the crown for a while and concentrate on that with an additional surgery down the road. We don't know what your age is but my balding patterns leveled off in my mid-thirties so it was easier to anticipate grafts needed for good coverage. Regular Member ScottishGuy21 Posted July 30, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted July 30, 2023 Are you lowering your hairline too? Naturally that would add graft numbers to any frontal work.
