Getmeone
Hello all, I am currently in Turkey for a hair transplant done on Wednesday June 21. Doc originally drew hairline a lower but I though it would look more natural a bit higher. I believe total extracted graphs was 3000 - 3500 Here’s the hairline drawing before surgery: After surgery I noticed hairline looks far back especially in some angles and looks okay when my head is related down. I’ve asked if I can do a small touch up / modification to bring in the top left and right corner and surgery said yes but on day 6. Here’s the hairline at different angles after surgery: Front: As you can see the last picture looks better when I look down. sides: little lines I drew on picture 2 and 3 are what I think would give be a better look from the side view as it looks high and wide in the corner of the last two pictures in this section. here’s a picture of my donor. Today is day 3 post surgery: I have a few questions I’d like guidance on: 1. do you all think it’s a good idea to do the hairline modification 6 days after the transplant? My thought is I’m already here in Turkey and doc said it should be no problem since it will just be a small amount of graft 2. how’s my donor area? Good idea to get 250 - 500 graphs max to modify hairline? 3. What’s your vote, would you do the touch up or leave it as is based on pictures below? im afraid of over harvesting or messing with newly implanted graphs, but doc thinks this can be done safely. I am a perfectionist and I came with mindset that result may not be perfect, but I think a small change could get me a much better hairline but I am risk adverse and don’t want to mess up what has been done. Please advise. 🙏

Moderators Al - Moderator Posted June 23, 2023 Moderators Share Posted June 23, 2023 (edited) Right now your head is a bit swollen from the surgery. The hairline and design will probably look a little bit lower in a few days once the swelling is gone. Regular Member Bhumik Shah MD Posted June 23, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted June 23, 2023 You have a lot of post op edema at this stage. I would not go about changing the hairline at this point. Things will look different once the swelling subsides. 1 Medical Director/ Hair Transplant Surgeon at BKS Hair Restoration. NOTE: All posts are for educational purposes only. Senior Member A Fue Good Men Posted June 24, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted June 24, 2023 Agree with Dr Shah on this one. If the hairline was good when they marked it out and they followed that zone, then it should technically be fine. Temporary Swelling and movement of fluids will make things look off

Valued Contributor A_4_Archan Posted June 25, 2023 Valued Contributor Share Posted June 25, 2023 Imo you should not do anything as of now...its not always that lowering hairline will make you look good..sometimes it may look very unnatural plus you might better of saving some grafts for the future loss rather than wasting them to construct a lower hairline...being conservative in most cases proves to be wise in long run...should go aggressive only if your hairloss is extremely stable and you are sure that you will not progress.... Plus let them all grow and you may like it....suppose if you don't like it than you can lower it in future if your hairloss is well stabilised.... 1 Check Out My Hair Transplant Journey --> My Thread 3611 FUE Grafts With Dr Kongkiat Laorwong | Norwood 5 | 2nd May 2023
Senior Member SeanT1 Posted June 25, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted June 25, 2023 Your head is probably swollen also, the hairline will adjust and become a bit lower than what you see now.

Getmeone
Thanks, all. I opted to keep the current hairline. I think the doc did a great job especially considering what I had before. I appreciate all your input.
