LptfwpkHh4Lzccg8GNU6NZwXbM
Hi everyone, I've just had a FUE hair transplant procedure where 3,000 grafts were transplanted. It's been 3 days post-op and I've noticed that one side of my hairline is slightly lower than the other, which has resulted in an asymmetrical hairline. I'm not sure if this was done intentionally or if it's a result of a bad surgery. Has anyone else experienced something similar after a hair transplant? Should I be concerned and bring this up with my surgeon? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks! Senior Member shiba1985 Posted May 15, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted May 15, 2023 It can be swelling. sometimes it makes the lines really uneven temporarily. Once the swelling subsides the lines become like they were drawn.

According to my surgeon, the asymmetrical hairline was drawn because of my uneven balding pattern. I hope that explanation makes sense.
LptfwpkHh4Lzccg8GNU6NZwXbM
Just a quick note, the clinic I went to isn't a cheap one. It's actually the most popular one in Israel, where I live, as I didn't want to travel abroad for the procedure. The cost was $7,500 USD for 3,000 grafts. The username is as asymmetrical as your hairline ....i don't think any surgeon would do such an asymmetry...imo it can be swelling and thats why it is looking as such... 1 Check Out My Hair Transplant Journey --> My Thread 3611 FUE Grafts With Dr Kongkiat Laorwong | Norwood 5 | 2nd May 2023
LptfwpkHh4Lzccg8GNU6NZwXbM
I appreciate all of you. Within a week or so, I'll share a new photo to see if there's been any improvement. The swelling is still significant. In the event that's not the case, can the hairline be fixed, regardless of cost? I'm really anxious. The doctor's name is Dr. Alex Ginzburg. Additional details about him can be found on these pages: https://worldfueinstitute.com/speaker/alex-ginzburg/, https://www.hairtransplant.co.il/en/. Thank you again! Senior Member BaldDude Posted May 15, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted May 15, 2023 Natural hairlines are asymmetrical. A barber told me he can easily spot a hair transplant when they are symmetrical.
Senior Member BaldReaper Posted May 15, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted May 15, 2023 Was the clinic HDC? no natural hairline is symmetrical but you need to wait for the swelling to go away in order to evaluate
Regular Member ScottishGuy21 Posted May 15, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted May 15, 2023 Agree with above. Hairlines are generally not symmetrical, with two sides of someone’s face / head subtly different. It’s not uncommon. The swelling with also exaggerate any differences.
LptfwpkHh4Lzccg8GNU6NZwXbM
I'm sorry, what's HDC? Are you referring to the clinic's name? It's called Ginzburg Medical, and the surgeon's name is Dr. Alex Ginzburg, as I mentioned earlier. You can check out one of his works here: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=712110837584728. Personally, I think the asymmetry is intentional to achieve a more natural-looking hairline, and I might actually prefer it that way. However, I'll have to wait and see how it develops. Senior Member HappyMan2021 Posted May 15, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted May 15, 2023 Everyone is mentioning swelling, but what evidence of swelling is there? @LptfwpkHh4Lzccg8GNU6NZwXbM does your face have any swelling? Does your face look like you've been in a boxing match at all? If you don't have any actual swelling symptoms, I'm inclined to think it is bad hairline design.

The band on his forehead is to minimize the swelling. He probably had tumescent injections in the hairline. 2 I’m a paid admin for Hair Transplant Network. Regular Member GeneralNorwood Posted May 15, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted May 15, 2023 Your head isn't straight on the photo. And we have to wait for swelling to come off.
