It just looks worse than it use to. One the sides you can see it’s somewhat see through, and the back nape area has these really tight curly hairs (my actual hair is straight)

You don't have retrograde. I don't see any thinning. Your hair is thick all the way down well past your ears in the back. I also don't see any curling. Do you use Nizoral shampoo? That can really dry out your hair. The issue you could be having is your hair could be getting dry and getting split ends which will curl at the ends and be frizzy. Try washing your hair with only a conditioner for a couple of days and see if that solves your problem.
