MSM & Hair Growth

It seems there is a general consensus that MSM speeds up hair growth. It also appears that the recommended dosage is 3,000mg per day.

 

Is this still the recommended dosage?

 

Also, if one's hair would normally grow on average about 1/2 inch per month, how fast does your hair grow while taking MSM? Any feedback from those taking MSM or studies that have measured speed of hair growth would be much appreciated.

3000mg of daily MSM may speed up natural hair growth but won't jump start early transplanted hair growth. As to whether or not it truly works and how much faster the hair grows, I'm not really sure.

Yes. That's still the recommmeded dosage.

While on MSM, I couldn't say that I had an increased rate of hair growth.

 

Don't know about any studies.
