So i have an upcoming Hair Transplant with Dr Yaman, is it fine to smoke weed after hair transplant or it’s best to avoid for 1 week or so? What should i do different before my surgery?

Once again Gats is spot on, weed or tobacco constricts the blood vessels and arteries and on average it takes approximately 2 weeks or so for things to normalize.

As gatsby and gill suggested you shud stop at least 15-20 days pre and post op...and i would add you may try to stop it forever ...best of luck...

@supremegod,

As others have already indicated, Weed and tobacco can restrict the blood vessels and as a result, it’s a good idea to stop smoking 10 to 14 days prior to surgery and you can resume again 10 to 14 days after surgery.   Now, this is strictly my opinion and it is not coming directly from Dr. Rahal.   Just be sure to check with your surgeon as what they advised recommend since every surgeon/clinic has their own preoperative and postoperative instructions.

I hope this helps
