What lab tests should I get before starting topical finasteride/dutasteride?

I'm someone who experienced sides on oral fin and quickly stopped. They resolved, but I would still like to halt further hair loss and preserve my donor hair. What are the specific labs that I should get taken to get a sense of my baseline before starting down this path?

no one can help because DHT and Testo variation are too big along a day you will never get corrects values for comparing them

You would want a full hormonal profile, but to be perfectly honest, you may still experience mild, moderate or severe effects from Finasteride despite healthy hormone levels. I had very healthy levels of T prior to using oral Finasteride, and experienced bad effects from the medication. Regardless, it doesn’t hurt to check prior to starting. This is an extensive list:

CBC / CMP

Testosterone, Total and Free

DHT (Dihydrotestosterone)

Estradiol (Sensitive)

Thyroid Panel (TSH, T4 Free, T3 Free, T3 Total)

PSA

Progesterone

DHEA-S

SHBG

FSH / LH

Prolactin
