Hi everyone

As the title reveals, I had a hair transplant performed at the clinic FUEGENIX (The Netherlands, Bergen Op Zoom) by doctor Munib Ahmad.

My story begins at the age of 18 when I first saw clear signs of thinning at the coves. Soon I tried one topical after another (certain promising “website treatments”) with little success. It wasn't until I was 20 that I started using the right combination of minoxidil and derma rollers. This helped me control the thinning hair at the crown along with the rest of the head. So at the age of 21 I noticed that after a year I had not fallen behind and that my hair was even fuller. Unfortunately it was too late for the coves with no regrowth of the hair. That's why I decided at the age of 22 to have an HT performed only for (which is now necessary) the inlets.

So in February 2022 I decided to email a number of clinics, because I am still young I often received the comment within Belgium that I am not a suitable candidate. Of course any clinic in Turkey would allow this, but in the end I chose FUEGENIX because of the quality results. During the consultation, Dr. Munib checked whether I would be a suitable candidate and explained to me why my age does not matter in my situation. He was bursting with confidence and the clinic and their way of working showed no red flag whatsoever.

A few months later (04 July) the day of the transplant arrived. You should have a good breakfast because if you come from Belgium like me, it will take a while before you see something to eat again at noon. Anyway, a 3-egg omelette with bacon and some toast was filling enough that I was never hungry on the surgery couch.
Now the treatment; the arsenal of anesthetic syringes is, as everyone says, very unpleasant. The doctor knows this too and uses a vibration roller over your head for distraction and personally I thought this was a very good trick. 5 minutes later you feel nothing and can practically fall asleep while the doctor focuses enormously on extracting the right grafts. He was ready just after 11 am, after which I was given a sandwich and then immediately continued with the grafts. His assistant helps with this, which should certainly not be considered a disadvantage (perhaps even an advantage in terms of fatigue, etc.). This was also completed around 13:00 and I was back on the track. So this was a very smooth pleasant treatment.

The aftercare instructions are clear and you will receive a saline solution and special shampoo. As a student, it was easy for me to stay indoors and rest for the first 10 days. I had a little swelling but that was okay. In terms of pain and itching I had no problems, the only frustrating thing is sleeping on my back (I'm a stomach sleeper) but this is just perseverance.

In the attachment you can see some pictures from after the transplant and all the way up to day 11. If I could do it over again, I would see Dr. Choosing Munib Ahmad, although of course I still have to wait for the final result.
