Help me choose a clinic

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone - as mentioned before i am new but i am so glad i found this forum. thank you to each one of you as it helps us to ease anxiety when choosing a right clinic or surgeon to do hair transplant.

I have done alot of reaearch and have narrowed it down to the two clinics:

1. Civas Hair Transplant Center Turkey (ankara)
2. Long hair center (istanbul)

As you may all know Civas has a MD working there who is registered and listed in ISHRS but i have not seen many results or discussions around the web on this clinic.

With long hair center I have seen many people post progress pics and heard good things about Ahmet. However, he is not registered and listed in ISHRS.

I understand that you may need to see my hair but would love to get some thoughts as to which one would you choose? Many thanks for your replies.

Could you share how you've reached your shortlist?

Some background on your current hair position would be useful. Pictures are ideal, but failing that a description of your hair characteristics and loss, what  you're hoping to achieve through a transplant and whether you've taken medication to stabilise your loss.

That information would allow people to help you determine which surgery is most suitable for your specific situation.

I would give those two clinics a big dodge by a County mile. Have a look at the results of the recommended surgeons listed by this forum. I’m also glad that you found this forum. Sadly many don’t find it until they have had bad surgery (including myself). Look at results from the recommended surgeons who have a similar hair loss to yourself with results that you are aspiring to. Most of all ask lots of questions here and take your time. All the best. 👌

I would avoid Turkey altogether, and your list needs massive work. Long hair center is a hair mill. I haven’t heard of Civas Hair Transplant and I’m sure someone else will chime in.

ISHRS membership doesn’t necessarily mean they are good at their job.

How I determined who was on my shortlist was simple. How consistent they have been in a 2-3 year timeframe, how many positive patient posted reviews with regular updates, also factored in the negative reviews ( how the clinic acts on a bad result, what do their bad results, look like are they poorly angled grafts from poor surgical skill, consistent low yield?)

After that prelimaries I then took a look at what cases they were performing and if I were similar too them. That shortened the list even further until I had to make a decision on a list of doctors that I would put my trust in.

I’m curious where did you do your research? Long hair center is a well known hair mill and you must be looking at a lot of misinformation and bad advice. Not a dig just genuinely curious.

if you could share photos of your hair people could direct you on the right path.

What about dr resul yaman hair clinic?

I ahvent taken anything to stabilise hair loss. I know I need to

He’s recommended on this forums recommended list but to be honest I don’t find his results that impressive compared to others on the list. I would avoid Turkey if you want to get a full head of hair.

Also after looking at your photos, you seem to be about NW5 or NW6 although I can’t tell from just one photo.

ISHRS can only verify that the surgeon has an M.D. diploma, but it doesn't supervise the quality of the protocol.

Some members of ISHRS, ABHRS, FUE Europe, ect.. are only business owners that let the technicians do the surgical procedures: punch and incisions.

Non of these associations give you garauntee of top notch work, even if the certified MD is the surgeon of your procedure.

Those associations are meant to share information between the clinics to get more efficient.

ABHRS make tests, but afterwards they don't supervise the surgeon or the clinic.
