Regular Member KHT2 Posted November 16, 2022 Regular Member Share Posted November 16, 2022 Hello, I've seen that most people shed their transplanted hairs between 2 and 6 weeks post-op. I am 7 weeks post-op, I think I still have some transplanted hairs and I am still shedding every day. Is that normal? And at what stage does the shedding usually stop? Thanks! I personally feel you can shed up until 3 months post-op. Usually it will have shedded the most within 8-12 weeks and then whatever didn't shed tends to grow but it doesn't guarantee it might not shed a bit later on. The 2nd and 3rd month are affectionately referred to as the "Ugly Duckling Phase" for this very reason where the majority of the hair due to shed will have be. 1 Follow my first Hair Transplant Journey! Senior Member pkipling Posted November 16, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted November 16, 2022 Yeah, I think it's in the range of normal - though maybe on the later side. Definitely not something to be alarmed about, as it's not indicative of anything having gone wrong. Washing your hair a little more aggressively may help expedite the shedding process if you'd like - and there's no risk because the grafts themselves have been anchored/secure since around Day 10.
