Risk to existing hair with transplant?

Recommended Posts

How big is the risk to existing hair with a transplant?

No, I'm not talking about temporary shock loss. Dr. Konoir's website mentions the possibility that grafts can permanently damage already weakened hairs. Is this something to worry about if you're on medication and working with a reputable surgeon? I ask because I'm a diffuse, patterned thinner and will need transplants around existing hair. Thank you!

You’re reading koniors site so I assume you’re considering him. If you choose him as your surgeon there’s really no reason you should worry. He’s extremely meticulous and there with you the entire time. He uses the stick and place technique so the incisions aren’t as large when compared to pre made slits so less chance of trauma to surrounding hairs/tissue. Trust in his process and skills

A good skilled surgeon can transplant between natural hair without demolish it if it's thin enough, I am talking from personal experience.
