Frenchy74
Hi everyone, I am in the process of HT+ 9 days after. I did my first two shampoos in the recipient area yesterday and this morning. I noticed this and I am wondering if it is the normal process of HT after 9 days or if my hair follicle is simply dead and wont grow again ? I had no bood or hole in my recipient area following that. What do you think ? According to https://www.maralhairklinik.com/after-fue/ it look like I am having: " Any hair shedding that happens 4-5 and later days after the surgery is just hair shafts. Hair follicles are captured underneath the scalp by ingrowing vessels and are safe 4-5 days after the surgery. The deepest parts of the hair shafts imitate the shape of their follicles and look like a dot. This is why people mistake it for a follicle. The truth is that the hair bulb (follicle) remains safe when the shedding begins 4-5 days after the procedure." Senior Member pkipling Posted October 28, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted October 28, 2022 Seems totally normal to me as well. You're likely to start experiencing a fair amount of shedding in the days to come, so remember that even after the first 72 hours, the grafts are mostly anchored/secure and don't stress yourself out as that process begins to happen. As a general rule, if a graft were to come dislodged, there would be pain and bleeding - and at this stage, it's almost impossible for that to happen. Hope that helps give you peace of mind! 1 I am a patient advocate for Dr. Parsa Mohebi in Los Angeles, CA.
