Regular Member Yan bio Posted October 16, 2022 Regular Member Share Posted October 16, 2022 Hi everyone:) does anyone know to what degree (on avg.) the transplanted hair diameter changes? Does it double its diameter? more? less? any estimations would be welcomed thanks!

Senior Member NARMAK Posted October 16, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted October 16, 2022 You wouldn't see a change generally in hair diameter just because the hairs taken from the back donor and placed in the front. There are reports that Finasteride and Minoxodil can influence the hair calibre but Finasteride moreso on the front where maybe hair was DHT affected. Minoxodil seems to be more generalised. Regular Member Yan bio Posted October 16, 2022 Author Regular Member Share Posted October 16, 2022 Oh sorry for the misunderstanding:) my question is about the caliber in the beginning of the growth of the transplanted hair (hair diameter @3-4 months after transplant) vs. diameter after 12 months from transplant

It would probably be closest to that by months 12 or later. By the 3rd or 4th month, your barely regrowing the hair on a first weaker hair cycle. It takes a few for it to thicken up Follow my first Hair Transplant Journey!
