What does it mean when people say regrowth from finasteride?

Is it thickening of thinning hairs or regrowth of hairs on bald areas?

I believe its regrowth of hairs in areas where there wasn't a visible hair, which is very rare and only very few, lucky, lucky people get to have that.

However, a larger percentage although not by much regrow their miniaturised hair to more healthy hair and some also call that regrowth because apparently the idea is that once a healthy hair has miniaturised to about 50% or below, it's done, it's gone. Personally i don't think the science is 100% with that, but it's a high enough incidence rate to believe it generally holds true for the majority of people.

That's why Finasteride should be seen first and foremost only as a way to block DHT to slow or in very lucky cases, stop hair loss. Minoxidil then is the treatment combined with Microneedling once a week with a derma pen at 1mm to 1.5mm provides the greatest chance of regrowth.

Hair loss is multi factorial and you need to treat it in multiple ways and although the "Big 3" is the most cited treatment course for the majority, some may have other underlying issues to treat.
