JayKHair
Hi, I’m thinking about doing hair transplant. After watching a YouTube video, something made me concerned about possible HT. The hosts said that having any condition on the scalp will be a no for many surgeons. I have small red bumps in the back of my head and haven’t been able to get rid of them for many years. They are almost like acnes from the feel. Not sure what is causing the condition. I don’t have acnes in other parts of my body. My doctor has asked me to use those JCrew anti dandruff shampoo to no effect. is this a condition that will impact whether I can do a HT? If so, any one have suggestions in getting it cured? thanks! Senior Member JoeMan Posted February 17, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted February 17, 2022 I would maybe add a picture for reference. Maybe seek a consultation with a dermatologists if your Dr isn't one. Ultimately it will be up to the hair transplant Dr though. Maybe a dose of steroids could help. I'm not a Dr so this is just me spit balling ideas.
Senior Member aaron1234 Posted February 17, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted February 17, 2022 Is it folliculitis? That is often treated with antifungal or antibiotic creams.
