Jejubumbee
I went to Dr. Bicer in Istanbul in Dec 2020, I've been meaning to post the results at the 1 year mark. Ozen the admin was really courteous and answered my questions via whatsapp. So for a TLDR reason why I chose Dr. Bicer: A. I found posts online with really good results B. 1 patient a day, Doctor and staff made me the sole focus. I started at 8am, and think I finished sometime in the evening. C. Qualifications, I narrowed down dr.s with the member of IAHRS in Turkey, etc. Talking to her, I liked how knowledgeable she was, and open to what I wanted. And she asked her technicians their thoughts on my hairline. Procedure was smooth, I felt very comfortable and my nerves went away right after we started. She did 3000 grafts, as my donor hair is very thin, and distributed it from crown to hairline. She also covered up an old scar on the back of my head. I am really happy with the results, she took good care of me and answered questions post op. I got on minoxidil, which for some reason darkened the color of my hair. I posted the pics of the results. I tapered off of it in October, which was a mistake as my pre surgery hair fell out...if you decide to use minoxidil stay on it. I realized I didn't want to take it forever, I should have never got on it. So if you choose to use it topically, you need to commit for the long run. I was really happy with the staff and how much Dr. Bicer cared about making a natural look. I know I have really fine hair, both my parents are balding, both sides have hair loss and really thin hair. So she did really great with 3000 grafts. Honestly I wouldn't mind going back in a few years and seeing if I can thicken it more. I was really stressed in the beginning, but when we started I relaxed. Overall everything was quite smooth. Just prepare food in advance at the hotel, and make sure you bump-proof your room so not to hit your head. I almost did. The airport had many other patients from other clinics. I wasn't feeling so self-conscious as its so common in Turkey.
