PRP with FUE - is it really worth it?

Is it REALLY worth to add PRP when you get a FUE procedure?

There are some bad reviews with people using PRP alone... so perhaps best to steer clear, especially if the PRP is something like 1k additional?

Although if money were no option.. is PRP worth to add to FUE procedure?

This is just my humble opinion and perhaps you will find better advice from others who actually have used PRP long term alone. But from my research I think PRP may be of assistance in initial post op hair transplantation surgery (?). However for a mono therapy for male pattern baldness (and for the cost) I don't personally give it much creedance. All the best!

Agree with @Gatsbyhere. Maybe the initial PRP helps with the initial recovery period. But personally I don’t think multiple sessions are of any use for the treatment of MPB. If it’s a decent clinic and it’s part of the hair transplant ? Fine, otherwise no I don’t feel it’s needed/warranted.

I'm pretty much in agreement with the others. I really don't think it's worth it for most people.

Wasn't PRP originally for healing purposes, I know in sports it's been used for a while for healing purposes, help a muscle recover or after surgery.

Doing post op PRP or during surgery PRP probably have its benefits but as stand alone treatment for male pattern hair loss, I think not. Women I think have better results with PRP as hair loss usually are for other issues than genetics and PRP can give a boost for recovery.

It's till being used for healing purposes - and effectively.

Unfortunately, and I've seen this throughout the industry, (when it comes to hair). most do not know how to do it.  If you hear "come back every few weeks..." run the other way as fast as you can.  Or, take photos, communicate...and when the results do not happen, ask for your money back.

A few, however, are getting great results throughout the entire head, (even the front) and with a time lapse of 1+ years.  PRP is doing two things, reversing the thinning and getting faster results if done at the time of the transplant procedure.

So you think I should opt for the PRP with my FUE, for sure?

Which clinics are you looking at ? If they are using it as a way of bumping up the price then no. Are they suggesting you need multiple PRP sessions ? Again no.

It may or may not be with Rahal.

There is no pressure at all to sell. However I do understand it's recommended, and is additional money, yes.

It all depends on the clinic and the method.  Are they using a binder? How often are they asking you to return? Can they show you photos of results? What are they promising?
