Senior Member ciaus Posted September 28, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted September 28, 2021 (edited) The minoxidil foam formulations are less irritating, don't contain the main drying alcohol ingredient called propylene glycol that the liquid formulas do. The foams also dry quicker, don't leave your hair greasy. Applying the foam can be tricky if you still have a good amount of hair, so the guy here has a method of making the foam a liquid right before you apply it to help with that.
