Dr. Camacho (Bogota)

Hi

I'm wondering if anybody on this site has had a successful transplant with Dr. Camacho in Bogota, Colombia.

I've had an e-mail consultation with him, studied his website, before & after's etc. All look in working order, and his team seem respectful and professional. His price point is very respectable as well. 

I feel I'm about 8 to 12 months out on booking at this point and would love to travel from NY to Bogota opposed to a few other destinations I've researched. 

MY SURGEON SHORT-LIST: 

1) Dr. Arika Bansal (India)

2) FUE-HLC (Turkey)

3) Dr. Bruno Ferreira (Portugal)

I'd like to fit Dr. Camacho into that list - preferably at the top. I just can't seem to find anyone on here that has had a first hand experience with him.

@MachoVatoMentioned this Dr very recently. Although you already have some good (proven) Names on your list. I’m not so sure I would be choosing someone who doesn’t have any actual patient journeys posted. Clinic ones are always cherry picked. Be careful.

Not impressed with what I have seen and read. Not worth the risk.

Camacho has a couple patients in a Facebook group I'm in. He's the only name in Colombia I know. The results I've seen were average.

Same with the results I've seen from Mexico... average results at best. But not failures. 

For Americans, Mexico and Colombia are closer/cheaper to get to. It would be akin to going to Turkey from England.

Absolutely no way is he in the same league with HLC or Ferreira.

Learn more with the three surgeons / clinics on your list, forget about those who, in addition to hair transplants, also do plastic surgeries.

I'm not sure he's a plastic surgeon. He is a medical surgeon, trained in hair restoration in the US in year 2000. Started his own practice in Colombia in 2005... so over 20 years experience is pretty good. For the research of others:

Seems there are more than one Dr Camacho’s …. Not impressed with his website though. As you mentioned even the cherry picked clinics are not great.

You seem to have good knowledge of this stuff. I was looking into camacho kind of going away from him now after this. What do u think of dr laorwong? Heard good things about him. Here’s some of his work
