I am wondering if i can start to use topical finasteride 2% and if its safe after 20 days. They gave me 2 bottles 1 small bottle with 2% finasteride and 1 bottle with 1% finasteride with 5% minoxidil. They told me to start with the finasteride bottle for 1 month and then start the other bottle for the next month. So my question can i start using finasteride 2% now? Raphael84 Posted May 16, 2021 Share Posted May 16, 2021 I would always recommend consulting with your performing doctor for specific instructions post surgery as each doctor has their own protocols and preferences. In general, applying topical solutions such as minoxidil and finasteride is fine and often encouraged from around 15 days post surgery. Consult with your surgeon beforehand though.
