hunggchandat
Hi everyone, although I have known the forum for a long time, I have not had time to share the results of my hair transplant surgery after 1 year. I have been searching on this forum and if not mistaken this is probably the first hair transplant surgery in Vietnam to be shared on this. Thanks to Melvin's video for making me aware of this forum 1 year ago First, I am 24 years old male and Vietnamese. Ever since I was in middle and high school, I had a weak and unclear hairline. My hair seems very thin and smooth and difficult to style. That's why I used to curl and dye my hair, culminating after a hair bleaching session in late 2017 I noticed my hairline was getting weaker and weaker and began to show obvious bald spots. During a year of research, I have been using Minoxidil for exactly 6 months and experienced some side effects that I still regret now because of the hasty decision at that time, maybe I will share more carefully tomorrow. Also I do not take Finasteride or any other medicine. Time 1 year learning about hair transplant, some countries like ThaiLand and Korea I have also consulted it seems that the price is quite high compared to my budget. In Vietnam at that time there was almost no reputable hair transplant facility and good results, the only Truehair Clinic I found they had some pretty good results (not all results were good), and timing I decided to get a hair transplant there based on their most recent results. I was measuring around 1300-1500 grafts for $ 2 / graft, I think they did quite well with my case. They are not asking me to take fin, minoxidil or any other medicine, I should just have a healthy, nutritious diet. Another reason is that based on the moving factors both from my father's family and my mother's family no one is completely bald. My grandfather seems to be in NW 3 vertex and is in the age of 85, my dad is 53 years old but the hairline is still on NW1, only their hair looks pretty thin and I think I inherited that gene. Sometimes I wonder if my hair loss is an MPB at the present time, since I am only 24. Some changes I noticed after a year of hair transplants, I used to call my hair every day otherwise it would look oily and a bit itchy. After about 3 months since the time of hair transplant, I have maintained the habit of washing hair once every 2 days with shampoo, until now my scalp can withstand about 3 days without washing it to feel the oil, however close like i no longer feel itchy scalp. Is this a temporary effect in scalp recovery after 1 year of hair transplant? ANW, I think Truehair will be an HT Clinic for you to consider doing hair transplant surgery. They have about 6-7 years of hair transplant experience if I don't remember it wrong, and the results of their clients have improved significantly since 2018. At $ 2 / graft I don't think I can find it any HT clinic better than TrueHair in Vietnam. Below is my process in detail: - Before HT: My hairline is quite weak and almost has an obvious bald spot on the right side Day of surgery: I had a new hairline redrawn and recalculated total grafts, shaving all the donor area. 1338 Graft takes place for 7 hours, they do it very carefully and after taking out the grafts and showing me the number of single, double, and triple , 4 grafts they have harvested. The transplant process was not so painful but I was very tired, after it was done I went home and went to bed for a while until the next morning, went back to the clinic and let them wash my hair. The punch is quite small, I think it is 0.7mm as they say and when I wake up I barely see blood on the pillow cover DAY 2 - 3: I go through the swelling process and it goes on for about 5-6 days. TrueHair says I don't need any pain relievers if I don't feel pain, they provide me with several packs of vitamin C to take in the first week. My Donor Zone after the first day looked pretty good, went to bed with no discomfort, maybe this is the TrueHair's advantage, it seemed their technique was the latest at the time. DAY 10: I went to TrueHair and asked them to wash my hair every day, by day 10 the whole scab was peeled off Month 2-3: I was warned and referenced many videos on youtube about the shockloss process, but it doesn't seem like my hair goes through that shedding phase at all after the hair transplant. To cover the implantation zone, I did not shave my head on the top. Month 5th: I have had my hair re-trimmed and tried styling with wax Month 7th: I decided to keep my hairstyle short, and this is the first time since I was 18 that I have had a quiff like this even though the implants are not natural. Sorry for the photos because I cut it from my video 1 YEAR: I decided to grow it for a year to come because I like long hairstyles Bonus: With moderate lengths, I tried a little mullet haircut at month 10 and styling it with pomade, couldn't be happier. What do you guys think about my hairline? I know I'm still young but I'm planning on doing a second hair transplant to make the hair shape look smaller since my hair from the side seem to be getting a bit receded too. It is currently 4am in Vietnam so I will go to bed, sorry if my english is not good and if there is any violation in this post please let me know. Because I have delayed this sharing for a long time and today I have the determination to sit down and write it. I will add some more details tomorrow. Thanks for reading guys Edited February 25, 2021 by hunggchandat
Senior Member nicoandgello Posted February 25, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted February 25, 2021 (edited) You look great, and donor looks untouched. Second procedure to tweak hairline and add some density would take less than 1000 grafts. Edited February 25, 2021 by nicoandgello

In addition, the team will include about 2-4 other technicians and 1 resuscitation anesthetist. I also asked them who should I mention who is the main doctor, Dr.Huyen also replied that they should just be the TrueHair team, because their team is almost fixed and unchanged. They are both doctors and technicians from large and small hospitals. What I like about them is that they don't urge me or the other patients to have hair transplants right away, but give us time to think about different options while improving nutrition and health. Maybe a week they only perform about 1-2 surgeries, hair transplant is more like their left hand job because Dr.Huyen is really quite interested in the patient's results. My temples began receding at highschool i think, it makes my forehead look a bit wide. I also considered it for a long time, because looking at the genetic factors of my grandfather and my father, they didn't have any serious hair loss.

It's been 3 years since I got the first HT, my hair is still looking good, the transplanted-hair is completely straight and nature (I love light wavy effect after the first year tho ) but I noticed my hair is getting thinner compared to the first year (I'm not on any medication) maybe the MPB is going, due to stress or Covid... but it just like in minimal level, I'm still happy with it anyway. May I have your email or on we can likely talk via fb, zl , tlgr or viber if you dont mind. Thanks So I had a problem when the scab got removed. As I noticed there is a small area completely went blank. I was so worried about it because I think I had done s.th wrong with it since I removed scab by myself. Then I asked the TH clinic. They said if I went through the process without bleeding then it's okay. The hair might shed along with the scab. So that means it's about 10 days after the surgery for the hair shedding started. Is it really okay with that? Your picture looks lovely. And btw your density is higher than me. Close to the natural density which is 60-100 grafts. Mine is 35-60. Thank you again for your time.
