Also are you on finasteride? Been battling hair loss a long time and thinking about taking the transplant plunge. Senior Member PizzaWolf Posted December 15, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted December 15, 2020 More testosterone, more potential for conversion to DHT, which is by far the most destructive hormone to scalp follicles. Testosterone is also slightly damaging in and of itself to hair follicles over time, according to various research I've read over the years. Basically, TRT is likely to accelerate your natural propensity for hair loss. IMO, it would be wise to take Finasteride before jumping on TRT if MPB is a major concern. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
