How's the crown looking?

The hairline doesn't seem too natural to me but I could be wrong, it's easy to be critical of photos.

2,000 grafts FUT Dr. Feller, July 27th 2012. 23 years old at the time. Excellent result. Need crown sorted eventually but concealer works well for now.

Propecia and minoxidil since 2010. Fine for 8 years - bad sides after switching to Aindeem in 2018.

Switched to topical fin/minox combo from Minoxidil Max in October 2020, along with dermarolling 1x a week.

Wrote a book for newbies called Beating Hair Loss, available on Amazon

I actually think your hairline looks pretty good. Although, I’ll say it looks like you could use a bit more density and a little refinement. I’ve seen a few YouTubers who went to HMR, they got great results. I’m curious to see the crown as well.

Yeah. The lack of density is why I'm not entirely satisfied. Luckily the average Joe doesn't know how to spot doubles or singles or whatever.

My coworkers and others that know me have said that I look about 10 years younger which was the intended result.

I am planning on a 2nd FUE procedue in the near future to add density and lower the hairline about 10mm. Based on the pictures would you guys say I have enough reserves for that and to fix the crown area as well?

I would look for a Dr/Clinic that can refine your hairline with single grafts. And yes it’s difficult not to get to carried away with the crown (black hole for grafts)

You should definitely have a lot of grafts still left in reserve! As you have only had 2600 scalp grafts taken so far. If it was me I would perhaps put up to 1200 grafts in the crown max. And maybe another 1000 to reinforce the hairline.

Are you on meds to try and keep/maintain the hair you have?

How far into the hairline should the singles be?

Can you please elaborate on the crown being a black hole for grafts. Am I doomed to using Caboki on it for the rest of my life?

I like your plan for an extra 2200 grafts. But where would those come from? The same donor area as before? Or the area underneath?

I'm not on any meds, I just take Biotin everyday. I'm afraid of taking finasteride cause I still wanna be able to perform.

At a very rough approximation say you have up to 5500 FUE grafts that can be taken. So far hopefully you have used just about half of what’s available.

We all have different donor zones. Yours looks good from what I can see. Yes they would take from all over the same zone.

The crown is known as the black hole of grafts as it you could potentially put 1000s in and it still would be happy to take more!
what’s important is a long term game plan. So making sure your good up front and mid scalp. Currently you seem good mid scalp.
As you have probably noticed putting in those 700 grafts doesn’t make a massive difference. But I do think another pass at it would help gain coverage/density.

At least the front row of our hairlines should be single grafts. A clinic using a microscope is able to get this done.

yeah this is why I said it's easy to be critical with photos....day to day in the real world I bet your hair looks great, especially with where you started from. You've won the main battle anyway - which is having it all grow in and restoring your hairline, it can always be refined later.
