Urine Drug Test (pre-employement) using propecia...

Tests are specific. Your company will instruct the doctor/technician to test for drugs or alcohol or marijuana.

If they're testing for marijuana, it wouldn't matter if you were drunk as a fish while doing the test.

I had a friend who consumed marijuana (in a cake) and admitted it to the company doctor doing the blood test. He informed her, it didn't matter, because the testing was for something else.

Finasteride will show up in your urine/blood.

Most things do.

But in any event Finasteride is not illegal.

take care...

I think weed stays in the body for a few months coke is out of the body is 3 days or so.

Maybe ask GQ he will know

PGP...behave!! LOL!!

But a good point.

I believe cocaine hydrochloride does have a shorter half life than marijuana, probably because of the synthethic processes involved?

Ok sorry but you werent clear on what you wanted to know.

Good thing you dont do drugs.

Hugs not drugs always works icon_wink.gif

Cocaine is Gods way of telling you , you make way too much money

and weed will only keep you laughing to the McDonalds dollar menu and 7-11.

So to all you little kids out there stick with hugs and Monster/redbulls.

This has been a public service announcement

I don't know who in Dr. Feller's office told you that it wouldn't show up.

But I am quite certain it will.

I am open and thank you to criticism and correction as always.

take care...

Most drug tests are only for substances like:

THC: usually out of your system in 2 weeks depending if you are a habitual user or just every now and then. It also depends on your fat content as it tends to sit in fat cells

Cocaine: Is out of your system in 2 to 3 days. Thats why you get screwed if you test positive. They know you were recently on a bender.

These are usually what HT patients use post op:

Vicodin/percocet (any opioid drug) is also tested for. Ambien is also a controlled substance as is any anti-anxiety (xanax), or valium. These are probably the only ones hair transplant patients have to worry about. These should all be out of your system by the time you recover and get back to work.

The following are usually overlooked:

Finasteride (also used to treat enlarged prostates)

Ultram- this is also a strong pain killer that acts on opioid receptors. However it has a different mechanism or structure than percocet or vicodin and is not tested for.

Muscle relaxers like Robaxin are also overlooked.

That's scary to hear. I work at a refinery and I get random drug tested all the time. I have never been a drug user so I always go in with a clear conscience. But if you can get false positives from legal substances, that's bad news. They don't give you any second chances on the drug test. They escort you off the premise and fire you immediately.

I'm pretty sure if you've never tested positive before, they give you second one immediately after a positive test....unless your in the military.

And, of course, if you fail but have a prescription, your in the clear.

Moses,

Since Propecia is a legal drug, employers don't do drug tests for Propecia. Additionally, Propecia won't create false positives for illegal drugs like steroids, cocaine, etc. Thus, as long as you aren't taking any illegal substances they're testing for, your tests should all come out clean :-).

Best wishes

Bill
