Senior Member HTHope Posted April 27, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted April 27, 2020 Hello all I suffer from general anxiety disorder. With this whole COVID issue and a few other problems in my life I've been having to depend more and more on my anxiety meds such as Xanax to get me through the day. I also sometimes need to take sleep meds such as Ambien at night. I am a little less than 2 months post op from my FUE and I'm wondering if these drugs in any way can worsen hair loss or harm my transplanted grafts? Thanks
Senior Member Curious Posted April 28, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted April 28, 2020 (edited) Hair loss is considered a side effect from some benzodiazapines. It depends on the drug. Research it on the net, but hair loss from Xanax is more common among women than men. I doubt very much that anti-anxiety medications would damage transplanted grafts, but you should check with your prescribing doctor.
