I went and saw my family doctor a few years ago and she didn't feel comfortable prescribing me Propecia. Thus I have been purchasing Propecia online for ~ 3 years. If not, you may want to ask her. Otherwise, most hair restoration physicians will prescribe Propecia. Thus, I suggest since you've had surgery with Dr. Alexander that you speak to him about this.
