FUE Hair Transplant future Norwood 6

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone I’ve bin lurking this form for about 5 years so I thought I’d share my story and hair loss.

25 year old male started losing my hair around 17. I went on propecia at about 18 probably a Norwood 2-3 at the time. Was in a relationship from 18-23 during that time I got lazy and stopped medication from about 20-22 and got catch up hairloss. I’ve bin back on meds for about 3 years now witch has halted my hairloss once again.

My goals- I’ve bin examined 3 times over the last 4 years by a reputable clinic in Canada and I’ve bin told what I can achieve and nothing has bin sugar coated. I can get about 5000 fue total and maybe a small strip if I had to. First surgery would be 3000 grafts fue to achieve a higher mature hairline about half inch higher then my current, and that would give me a somewhat dense but soft hairline and we would do about 500 into the mid scalp to blend. I was the one who opted for the softer hairline because I feel with my hairloss an aggressive approach would be useless. The next surgery would be about 2000 fue and that would give me a soft mid to crown coverage as I am alright with that because I sport my sides short 1 guard and the top about medium length. I’d be fine with having a very thin crown keep that in mind. Below is my current hair and some longer hair photos from before a consultation keep in mind I don’t where my hair long like that at the sides. And the hair I have at the back right now is the coverage I would be happy with in the future if the meds let go a bit.  Also i understand there is scaring the surgeon uses .8mm punch so it’s minimal and in very well intend to get smp into them if it is very bad or if I decide to buzz my hair later in life. But my skin seems to be ok with scars.

- Id like to hear your opinions and share your results if you have had similar hairloss as to mine. I have fine brown hair which apparently can give a nice natural result

I had very similar hair loss to you, I had a total of three hair transplants all FUE. It can be done, but it will be costly and time consuming. As long as you are aware of this, I say start consulting with several surgeons and narrow down your selection.

Here is my hair loss journey that can give you some prospective.
