What's the optimal timefrime to go back to the gym after HT surgery?

I see different numbers thrown around, the most common is 3 weeks but I've also seen 10 days or even 2 months. I either run and hour every day or go the gym, I'm very active. But obviously, I won't sacrifice the success of my HT so I can bench a bit more. What's the prudent and optimal timefrime in where I shouldn't do any sports post-surgery?

The discrepancy on guidelines like this between various surgeons is quite confusing, and this is a common occurrence in the HT community. Whether it's working out or sun exposure or timelines on when grafts are secure, there are about as many answers as there are surgeons. ;)

For something like this, it is best to get your own surgeon's input and see what he has to say.

I am a patient advocate for Dr. Parsa Mohebi in Los Angeles, CA. My views/opinions are my own and don't necessarily reflect the opinions of Dr. Mohebi and his staff.
