Hi Bill, thanks for the article. You wrote "However, your scalp needs time to heal, and harsh brushing or itching with your nails can damage your scalp., thus your scalp will take a longer time to heal."

 

How much time in general does it take the scalp to heal in normal circumstances (i.e. without harsh brushing)?

Once all the scabbing is gone and the scalp skin has retuned to its normal color it is safe to use brush on scalp. I do warn patients that any original hairs in the transplanted area will be more fragile for a while and they should brush/ comb hair with caution so not to cause any unnecessary shedding.
